GUILTY MI - Daniel Sorensen, 26, beheaded & burned, Northville, 7 Nov 2007

Interesting that the accused was so judgemental in his approach then execution of the victim-I guess on some level he thought "it takes a fox to catch a fox..." so he figured he could measure the victim by the same yardstick as himself. Good gravy, what a story...

Wow, that article was sad. I guess you shouldn't take the law into your own hands but i can't say if i could have that approach if someone sexually abused my kids in anyway. It is just a sad scary world we live in.
In our state the crime is spelled out on screen for you and the year it was commited so you can pretty much add the ages up and whatnot, don't all states have that?

Very nice to see you.
Yes you have a vey good point about spelling the crime out on the screen. Not alot of states do that, they just show the charges.

I just want to say that the man killed did not abuse the killer's children. The killer did not know what the man did, he just saw the charge on the database. (that is for ones who did not read the article and think that the murdered one molested the killer's child.)

I also want to state that I hope the girlfriend of the victim played a large part in turning in her ex for this crime. Clearly it was done on her property, then her boyfriend was beheaded and burned. There was the disposal of his vehicle etc...I am sure...so clearly common sense would dictate she had some knowlege of what went down.

His body was found in Northville. He was not murdered there. His truck was stolen but was recovered last night. There are 3 POI at this time.

To my dearest Believe,:blowkiss:
The article you read that I posted about was from Florida in May about a man taking the law in his own hands.
We do not know yet who murdered the man that this thread is about.

Sorry for the confustion.

I totally agree with those of you I've quoted. I can't even make myself quote those who are APPLAUDING this CRIME, because I'm praying like crazy that I won't remember who said those things. This is the first time I have ever been TRULY sickened reading people's posts here......those of you who believe that two wrongs make a right EVER under ANY circumstances better carefully think your stance through.

Exactly what would make it "ok" for a person off the street to charge, convict, sentence and carry out the sentence of another? Is that REALLY the kind of society you want to live in? Would you want your neighbor to carry out such a sentence on your son? EVEN IF your son was a criminal, would you want your neighbor to do this to him????

I so, so, so hope you are right.

I knew we could agree someday, kgeaux!

The only thing I find shocking about your take on this is that it's really the first time you've experienced that attitude here. I find this type of stance more than common to a great many posters on this board.

Did you hang out on the thread regarding that CT lawyer who stabbed an innocent man to death in front of the man's parents? The lawyer had been told his daughter had been molested by this man. Many people here thought that lawyer was a hero.

On one thread, I actually asked how people could respond to so viciously and violently towards others on the barest of "facts." From the responses I received, I came away with the feeling that many people here are just venting. Still, it can be a bit much.

3 persons of interest have been identified and were taken into custody. As many as 5 are involved. Apparently the murdered man was to collect a $3,000.00 debt when he was murdered. It was not stated what the debt was.

Has anyone seen the show 'Dexter' on showtime? I don't have cable television, nor do i watch any really for that matter. A relative had seen it and said it was about a serial killer cop taking out "menaces?" of society in Miami. Maybe the killer got the idea from the show..

Dexter is one of my all time favorite shows. Dexter would not have killed this dude unless there is a lot about this murder victim that we don't know. Dexter only kills other serial killers.

Wait aminute. The man that beheaded this guy is also a registered sex offender? He tattoed a woman's forehead? What the heck is going on out there? So, he's claiming when he saw the sex offender website did he also look himself up? Dear Lord, this world is mad. Just my opinion, but there's got to be more to that, and he used the SO status as an excuse to behead somebody. O.K.

Maybe metaphorically he thought he was "killing himself" if he is also a sex offender..

I can't imagine any Websleuther not loving it. Some of the first season is on DVD at Blockbuster - the rest of the first season episodes can be downloaded for $2.00/.each. It really is my new favorite discovery. Riveting!!

I don't think there's any indication that the SO who beheaded this SO did it because he was an SO - that's all just coincidence.
