I dont even like the title of this article...it shouldnt say sex offender beheaded since this most likely didnt have anything to do with that. If i made a mistake (which i dont even believe he did but i know some will argue that) years ago and then i was randomly brutally murdered for no reason i definitely would not want people cheering my death and saying i deserved it!!

I just came home from work and read the posts and the article links that were posted.

I am just sick to my stomach reading what they did to Daniel. The terror that he went through truly hurts my heart.
My heart is with his family and friends.

It was a "trill kill" and nothing to do with his status. He had an encounter with a girl that he believed was 16-years-old when he was 17. She was 14. How is that hurting or molesting a child.
Imthemom said it right in stating that there are girls who look older than their age. Some tell guys they want to date that they are older. Many are listed as sex offenders because they did not know the true age of the one that they are dating.
How many teens lie about their age and how many have fake Id's to manipulate and deceive?

We do not know if Daniel's friends and family view this website, but if they do now or encounter it down the road, I am grateful that you posted what you did.

I too, cannot condone vigilante style torture/mutilation stuff...let justice be the thing we find in courtrooms. Not avenged on a neighborhood street!

Hi dark shadows:blowkiss: . This is a terrible crime and I hope the murderers are punished to the fullest extent of the law. Also the title of this thread shouldn't read sex offender imo, it's misleading in this case I think.

The ones who committed this crime have to be punished to the fullest extent of the law. Your hope is the same as mine.
You are so very right in stating that the title of this thread should not read sex offender and it is misleading. That man went through horror that is beyond belief. His family and friends are in unspeakable grief, and I would never ever have the words of condolance that would take their pain away even for a moment at this time.
As I relayed to KansasCutie, I say the same to you, maybe someday the family and friends of Daniel will feel comfort in the heartfelt posts here from ones like you and the others on this thread.

When i was 15 i dated a 18 year old and i thought i was the coolest girl ever and i bragged about dating "an older guy". Im sure this girl did the same and in no way felt she was being taken advantage of. So for everyone on here saying he deserved to be brutally murdered like this...is completely nuts!!!!

Great post, KC. When I was 14, I dated a 17 year old guy. I was young for my grade (10th) and he was old for his grade( 11th). I assure you that no child was hurt in the course of our high school shenanigans and I'm appalled to think this old boyfriend could have ever copped an SO offender because of me!

This case is so very sad. This was obviously random and the suspects have some deep problems.

Yeah exactly. I just told my boyfriend about this and at first he said "good the loser deserved it"....i blew up at him :) hehe and explained the whole story and reconsidered his thoughts & also thinks its extremely sad.

Yes there are alot of twists and turns to this thread. It turned out that the label of the man on this thread did not play a part in his death. The death was random carried out by teens seeking a thrill and it was a well planned killing. They layed tarp down to slaughter him. What Mafia movie did they watch to get that idea from...

Some of these kids are making Jason and Freddie look like pansies.

What a horrible thing to happen to this young man. I cannot fathom the broken hearts of his family. How does a family ever forget something this horrific happening to the one they love? As a parent I just dont know if I could ever get over this..........ever. It would haunt me until I probably went insane.

It is like our world has tilted and all the monsters are coming out of their darkness preying on the vulnerable and unsuspecting.

Prayers for Daniel's family!

I am a parent also and I could not go on with life if that happened to my son, I am not that strong. Like you, I cannot fathom the broken hearts of Daniel's family. You wrote a very good post and I thank-you very much.
Our world is getting worse. One would think that we live in a civilized world until we read news articles and watch the news. In our own country,not one day goes by without murder, abduction, suicide and all of the rest of the horror that we see on the news daily.

DS - I don't think the world is getting worse. I think reporting and the spread of news is getting better.

I read a book on the history of punishment and even though people thought they were doing the right thing - the violence and heinous acts on other humans were just as vile if not worse than scrolling through these pages show. People have been capable of some pretty horrendous things on a grand scale since the first guy discovered he could be.
