Family pleads for help to find missing teen with special needs

A family in Lake Odessa is looking for answers after their loved one disappeared.

Devlin Tait, an 18-year-old with special needs was last seen on April 21 in Lake Odessa and has yet to be found.

He’s just shy of 19, but his family said he is much younger mentally. Devlin is diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Tourette’s Syndrome, and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.

The family is offering a $1000 reward for finding Devlin. They are selling t-shirts and signs to add to that reward.

Mental capacity like that of a 7-8 year old

Takes daily medication, so that he has now been missing doses

Saw this on the Media page of the family’s Help Find Devlin Tait Facebook Page,
which shows another picture of Devlin, where I thought he appears older and maybe fuller in the face.

This obit seems to be the person Devlin is singing his tribute to. Perhaps his grandfather? I note Devlin’s name mentioned under “Recent stories” by a daughter of William James Tait.

I have a long-time friend who is very involved in finding Devlin, so I've been following ever since he went missing.
There is some pretty bad drama surrounding the case. Not much has been done as far as searching for him. It's awful, because this young man needs to be found but it seems that folks have moved on for the most part.
There is a FB page that has a ton of info regarding the issues, and family are admins there.
I'm so sad for this young man. He matters.

This case should be getting way more attention than it is...Devlin is such a vulnerable young man and he's been missing far too long. I hope LE is doing more behind the scenes than we're aware of at this point.
