"According to Detroit Police Major Crimes Cmdr. Rebecca McKay, officers were in the area talking to people about a missing person when a man ran up to them and said he had just been assaulted inside the home on Edsel.

The man also reportedly told officers there were dead people in the house."

Oh wow!
The man assaulted in the house was lucky there were officers in the area. Must have been terrifying.
Hope they make an arrest soon

Is Fox an approved source on this thread? There’s no moderator online currently to ask about an article saying the bodies were of 3 men, beaten to death

fox national is probably not allowed but fox local affiliates such as Fox2 Detroit are perfectly fine I believe.

awe man, I think I see the article you are asking about.

When the officers went to that home on Edsel, they found three men dead in the basement. Police said it appeared the victims had been brutally assaulted.

Family members identified one of the victims as Norman Hamlin, who they say was a military veteran.

''The bodies of three middle-aged men who were apparently “brutally” beaten were found in the basement of a Michigan home after Detroit police were called to about a missing person, according to authorities and news reports.

The discovery was made at a residence in southwest Detroit on Wednesday, February 18, Detroit Police Commander Rebecca McKay said in a video provided to news outlets, the Detroit Free Press reported.''

''local resident Thomas Barnes, who spoke with the TV station, said that he knows the man who lives where the bodies were allegedly discovered. Barnes shared that he grew up with him and had seen him as recently as last week.

“At first, we didn’t know if it was an overdose or an actual murder because the officers couldn’t talk about it,” Barnes said to WXYZ. “We don’t know the actual identity of the men or whoever it might be, and I’m hoping and praying that it’s not [the homeowner].”
