Jail ordered for role in 2015 murder

http://www.lenconnect.com/news/20161229/jail-ordered-for-role-in-2015-murder

Lenawee County Circuit Judge Margaret M.S. Noe told Carmody, 18, that the charge to which he pleaded guilty - accessory after the fact - was "an appropriate description" of his participation in the crime.

Noe sentenced Carmody to one year in jail, with the last six months suspended and credit for 23 days already served. He was free on bond, but was taken into custody as the hearing ended. She also ordered him to be on probation for five years and to pay court costs.

The sentencing was delayed twice due to disagreements between Carmody's attorney, David Goldstein of Ann Arbor; the prosecution; the probation department; and Noe about how the minimum sentence should be calculated using the state's sentencing guidelines. Goldstein told Noe Wednesday that those differences had been worked out. The recommended minimum sentence was between seven and 23 months incarceration.

Two other defendants, Tamera Marie Rosenberg, 41, of Raisin Township and Roger William Younglove, 24, of Adrian, are to be sentenced Jan. 5. Both pleaded guilty in September to being accessories after the fact and obstructing justice.

Two sentenced for roles in 2015 murder

Tamera Marie Rosenberg, 41, and Roger William Younglove, 24, received sentences that exceeded the minimum sentence guidelines as calculated by the Lenawee County Circuit Court probation department and Circuit Judge Anna Marie Anzalone. They pleaded guilty in September to being accessories after the fact and to obstruction of justice. Open murder charges against both were dismissed as part of the plea agreement.

Rosenberg, Monday's girlfriend, was sentenced to 31 months to five years in prison and Younglove to six years and eight months to 10 years in prison. His sentence was more than Rosenberg's because of prior offenses in Tennessee.

Rosenberg received credit for 392 days already served in jail. Younglove received credit for 353 days served.

The sentences complete more than a year of proceedings in local courts involving the five defendants in the death of Monday, who owned the Main Street Market and was the Adrian Farmers Market master.

You're right about that. A while back someone locally showed he's on the Michigan sex offender registry. Don't have time to link it now..sorry. IMO he's had a pretty questionable record before this heinous crime :( RIP Ed
