Found Deceased MI- Ernestine Pearson, 21, *7 months pregnant, Detroit, 14 March 2020

I called the Detroit Police Department today and spoke with a detective who stated that she is still missing. I find it sad and bizarre that no one close to her is publicly looking for her especially being pregnant.

The Detroit Police Facebook page appears to be good at updating posts when a person has been located. Ernestines post doesn’t have a lot of comments and only 1 is recent. Very odd that no one, family or friends, baby’s father, etc appears to be looking for her. She has to be very close to her due date, if not past it.

She is likely past her due date at this point. I would think if she'd gone to a hospital to give birth it would have triggered an alert to LE as her name has been all over the news. As to the baby's father, the father of her previous child was on the end of both paternity and child support legal actions as evidenced in previous links in this thread. No evidence as to whether he's the father of this baby.

FYI: No email reply from D Hutchinson, reporter who initially covered Earnestine’s story. I’ll resend just because...

Sad case. Has anyone checked NAMUS? Hate typing that. Not looking good, imo.

I just searched NamUs and came up with nothing. :(

I belong to a Missing in Michigan FB group and they've had no new updates as of this morning. They are usually very good at posting updates to all cases if they have credible information.

WOW a pregnant woman goes missing and no ones calling for action? somethings so wrong. I wonder who said they saw her last leave at 2pm? its making me feel like she may not have left that home alive? :(
speculation only

She has to be getting close to having her baby if she hasn’t already. I’m not saying it’s impossible but it’s pretty difficult to give birth (assuming all outcomes positive) and nobody notices, has records, etc.. IMO.
And I agree with @Dre There is something wrong when there is nothing out there that shows Ernestine is trying to be found, that someone is fighting for answers, & getting the attention of others to say “hey, this young lady is missing and she deserves to be found.”

I wouldn't have known about this case if not for this thread. I agree that it is very strange that no one seems concerned about this pregnant young woman. We're concerned about her but no one else is? Something is just not right.

Bumping. Has anyone found an update on EP?

Bump!!! So little visibility for this beautiful woman, and carrying no less, I just can’t imagine what has happened. The injustice here...

Poor girl did she make it to the gas station?

When she first went missing, these were the two locations given. It makes me wonder if the apartment she lived in at the time of her disappearance, was a different location than where her mail was sent to. Smart of the apartment manager to hold the mail and release it only to her. JMO

There are some pieces of mail that cannot be forwarded. Your W-2 tax statement at year end, your stimulus check, things like that.

“Detroit police are reaching out for tips on the case of the 21-year-old woman last seen by her family at around 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2020, in the 11200 block of LaSalle Blvd.

It was reported that Pearson — who police say is seven months pregnant — went to the gas station on Glenn St and 12th and did not returned home.”

With the paternity/child support legal actions in the past I'm very concerned the father of her child (unidentified as not a POI) could have harmed her if he didn't want a child. It happens too many times in our society.

I live in the area and work in Detroit, read the news daily... Haven't heard a peep lately. This is so sad. Who actually reported her missing? Clearly they cared enough to report it, why are they not saying anything else? JMO

This is what I'm thinking, as well. If EP was seven months pregnant on March 14 when she went missing, it's now past her due date. Someone must know where this young woman is and/or what happened to her and the baby. I don't have a good feeling about EP's safety and that of her unborn child :(

I’ve kind of been paying attention to social media and have a very hopeful feeling based on the consistently quick removal of certain types of inquiries.
