Friday afternoon, FOX 17 News discovered a Craigslist post from 21 days ago from a couple looking for another lover. The subject of the post said, Looking for a girlfriend or fwb (friends with benefits). The post mentions how the woman was eight-months pregnant and her description in the post bears a striking resemblance to Slocum. In part, the post reads, Hello! A little about me: I am 18, 53″ about 120lbs now and still growing (I happen to be 8 months pregnant with a beautiful white/Korean baby girl), I am white and petite, short brown hair and green eyes father of my child and I are sort of involved in this weird open relationship.
According to Slocums Facebook page, the couple was planning to name their child Audi Lynn.
FOX 17 News uncovered Oestrike may have used the alias of Joat Wyal Amos. That name is also traced back to his Taft Avenue address in Wyoming. It also appears Oestrike had a Facebook profile set up with that name.
Wendy Oestrike said she has no clue what may have motivated her brother to kill Oppenneer and Slocum. She said she talked to her brother a few days ago, and that the two discussed going out to eat at a Golden Corral.
“I asked him ‘all is well with you,’ and he said ‘of course,” she said.
A former employer of Brady Oestrike, who committed suicide Thursday after what police are calling a triple homicide, recalled the 31-year-old Wyoming resident as “different,” but was shocked to hear of Oestrike’s alleged acts of violence.
“He talked weird things,” said Craig Copeland, the general foreman of C.C. Power LLC, a Kalkaska-based electrical contractor that Oestrike worked for in 2013 and 2014.
He was “not somebody that I really wanted to be friends with.”
Carmody said police are trying to figure out a motive for the killings.
"We have no idea," he said on Friday, July 18...
Police did not specify what Oestrike and Slocum were connecting about on Craigslist.
