This is very concerning, and there's so much information missing. How did she get to Marshall's, and how was she supposed to get back home? Did she but anything there? Also wonder if she she had a phone with her, and who reported her missing.

She was in the store with a family member. After 5 minutes the video shows her leaving the store alone, on her own. The family is who reported her missing. We have not been able to find other video or witnesses yet that indicate which way she went after exiting the store headed east (Which is why we are asking for the public’s help). If anyone has video they can review, that would be helpful. If anyone saw someone walking around that time matching this lady’s description, that would also be helpful.
she did not drive there. And if we had any information that needed to be shared or if we thought anyone else was in danger, we would share it.
Here’s a pic we pulled off video, if it helps cue anyone’s memory. She is likely still wearing these same clothes.

That’s family
^ in response to the person behind her (in above photo)
correct. She does not have a purse, money or phone with her that we are aware of.
No followers or bystanders. No video outside though to show whether she got in a car or continued on foot.
scent is too old and rain would have ruined any remote chance we might have had.
^ in response to getting a tracking dog
nope. She left the family member in the store
^ in response to if the family member has any idea where she went
The family is out posting flyers. We are not aware of a search party at this time as this is a very populated, busy area. If we could find video or even a witness to her direction of travel after she left the store on foot, we would be much more able to direct our efforts

The posting says she's 4' 10" and 160 lbs. The photo from the video of her in the store is not 4'10" / 160 lbs. Do we have a confirmation from the family on her height/weight?

Notes from the video...

Her cousin says that Ghaida suffers from mental health issues and has now been without her medication for days.

Ghaida and her sister dropped off Ghaida's dog, Pete, at the groomers and decided to go shopping while they waited. Ghaida lives in Sterling Heights with her mother and sister.

Surveillance video captured Ghaida leaving the store shortly after 2 p.m., perhaps to go smoke a cigarette. All of her belongings were left in the car.

The family has looked everywhere they can think of including the woods behind the mall. LE has searched on foot and by air, using a drone.

The family is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to Ghaida's safe return. They have been checking with local shelters and hospitals and are now organizing a search party for Saturday.

I know some churches in the area rotate taking in homeless people, giving them overnight accommodations. I used to attend Trinity Lutheran which is a few miles to the west off Hall Rd. Wonder if any of the local churches have been checked to see if she has slept there overnight.

Searching online, I saw an address about three miles west and five south of where she went missing. If that is her address, I wonder if she took a bus and tried to get home. She could have taken two buses to get by that address. Or, if she took the first bus and never got off, the route ends in downtown Detroit. I used to ride that route back in the early 80s.

It's too bad there aren't cameras outside the store. So it sounds like per her family she is a smoker. I wonder if she went out to smoke and another smoker out there struck up a conversation with her and that led to something nefarious. Just throwing out some ideas.

I know there is also mention that she suffers from some mental health issue. But would it be usual for her to just leave her family in a store and walk off somewhere? It seems more typical that she might step out to have a smoke, knowing she will return shortly. Maybe that is even routine for her.

Updated article: Sterling Heights woman last seen at Marshalls in Shelby Township has been missing for a week

Says: "She was also caught on camera that day in the area of Valenti Lane, according to authorities."

MOO - that is a really odd place to walk off to and is about a half mile from the store she was last seen at. I wish they would have provided more detail, such as when she was seen on camera on this street. Was is soon after she left the store, hours later? Was it before she even went to the store? Maybe she knew someone that lives over there, but still, why wouldn't you tell the family member you are with? Also thinking, as a smoker - I can see strolling around a little bit by the store, but not a half mile away in a townhome complex. That makes no sense.

I am not far from here and will try to join the search tomorrow if my back is feeling better.

I've attached an aerial photo showing the Marshall's store, as well as Valenti Ln, where she was also reported being seen that day. Mind you, it is usually pretty cold in Michigan at this time of year, but we did not have snow on the ground at this time and the weather was surprisingly mild, with a high of 55 degrees F that day. (Makes me think, good weather for a stroll... again MOO)
