Grandmother charged for alleged sexual assault of 3-year-old granddaughter

A 43-year-old grandmother was charged Tuesday for sexually assaulting her 3-year-old granddaughter in November, according to Lowell Police Department.

The investigation began after Lowell police received a tip from Hillsdale Police Department about a sexual assault case involving someone Heather Wallace had met on a dating app, police said.

Specifically, Wallace had contacted Hillsdale police about the man, reporting he asked her to take photos of her granddaughter and sexually assaulted her, and said she didn't comply to his request, according to police.

However, through their own investigation, Lowell police determined that Wallace, while caring for her granddaughter, sexually assaulted the toddler during video chats with the man at her home, police said.

What inspired her to call the police?
Let me get this straight, they met on a dating app, was she so desperate for a date that she complied with his requests and then he wasn’t interested in her so she decided to turn him in, in retaliation?
Then she handed them her phone with photos and video of her SA of her own grandchild?

Daniel Remsing, was also arrested and charged in Hillsdale County for first degree criminal sexual assault involving his own granddaughters.
He was arrested back in January and remains in jail.

According to court documents, Wallace said that she had accidentally deleted Facebook communication with Remsing. A search warrant was then approved and submitted to META for Wallace's social media information.

The documents go on to say that while detectives waited for the information from META, a detective with the Hillsdale Police Department told Detective Culver that they had reviewed information from Remsing's phone dump, and that they had located two videos, and one photo, of a child with a sexually abusive nature.
