Family has been posting interesting info on FB about the condition of his car, and what roads he might have driven based on that. Nothing verifiable.

The hours of the festival are 10am - 7pm, so if he was seen there, it would have to be 11am.

I had a friend go to the festival with her daughters the same day, she mentioned that she may have seen him, but there were a lot of people and it was very hot; it looks like he was possibly dressed as the Plague Dr for the festival at least for part of it; prayers for him and his family, hoping they get answers

As per mom’s Facebook post, his phone was turned off when someone tried to call him at 10:30pm on Saturday evening, the 16th.

His car was traced leaving the Ren Faire parking lot at 12:04am on MONDAY (so the 18th, basically a whole 26 hours after his phone was off). That indicates to me that he didn’t just have a sudden accident unless he is the sort of person who often doesn’t charge his phone or keep in touch (doesn’t sound like the case based on how his mom describes him).

It's very concerning that several people working at the ren fest have said that he visibly wasn't feeling well (probably heat exhaustion), and that medics saw him/took him to the medic tent, but his mom says that the medics "don't remember him". Like, what??? Were there that many men dressed like a plague doctor they needed to access that day that they can't remember him?

Since the festival parking lot didn't capture his car leaving Saturday or returning Sunday (per mom's FB), I'm not sure how accurate that reported ping is at 12:04am. Parking attendants have also stated that his car was not left there overnight and was not there Sunday morning. The Flock hit at 4:20pm on Saturday in Saginaw seems more reliable as it's a state-wide system contracted by LE. For reference, Saginaw is about 50 miles north of the festival grounds.

I wonder if he was confused or had some mental crisis after being seen my festivals medics and headed north when leaving the festival - the opposite direction of his home in Rockwood which is south. Unfortunately, it still doesn't shed light on why he would have been in the Saginaw area or where he is now.

I know there's been a lot of road construction in MI - could he have encountered a detour or road closure when leaving the festival? Would southbound I-75 have been his most likely intended route back to Rockwood?

As a local resident I don't believe there's any reason to head north when leaving the festival. The area he was spotted is nearly 50 miles from the festival and in the complete opposite direction of his home in Rockwood.

I did add a note to my post above about the construction closure on 75 he may have encountered when his vehicle was spotted around Saginaw. Doesn't explain why he'd be up that way, but could provide context for the route he took.

Both of the 1-75 southbound ramps near Holly are closed, but with family saying he would have avoided it anyway due to not having a great-running car, he would have most likely taken 24 home. However, if his car pinged near Saginaw, that means he was driving for over an hour in the wrong direction of home.

Hope his vehicle plate wasn't switched or otherwise altered by someone. If some injury or illness has resulted in his hospitalization, a check with his health insurer might shed some light. Hospitals tend to demand proof of insurance upon arrival.
