Erika (his mom) posted that they are not very trusting of the Renaissance Festival parking lot cameras/license plate readers. The parking lot is maintained by a third party and from her post it appears the family did talk with them. The parking lot camera showed Jacob arriving at 9am on Saturday but did not show it leaving to arrive around Saginaw at 4:20pm early Saturday evening. It also did not show his car returning. It then indicates the car left at 12:04am early Monday morning.

Upthread it is noted that the festival runs until 7pm. Saginaw is about 1 hour away. So if the car did leave sometime around closing at 7pm and then arrive in Saginaw about 4am, there are about 8 hours unaccounted for in that trip.

What's in Saginaw? There's an airport. Frankenmuth is nearby. A giant marijuana store. I suppose there are plenty of places to maybe spend 8 hours and that would indicate some knowledge of a person or place in the area.

I'm wondering if he didn't realize he was going the wrong way until he was far away. He did vist the medic tent so perhaps not feeling well and wasn't sharp in his concentration when exiting the parking lot and heading home?

I don't know what to make of the car being back at the parking lot after midnight, but am wondering if that time stamp is an error?

Both of the 1-75 southbound ramps near Holly are closed, but with family saying he would have avoided it anyway due to not having a great-running car, he would have most likely taken 24 home. However, if his car pinged near Saginaw, that means he was driving for over an hour in the wrong direction of home.

Even if he was disoriented from heat exhaustion, that's a long way to go in the wrong direction...

• FLOCK camera pinged him at 4:20 PM heading north at I-75/675 in Saginaw
• Yet somehow — his license plate was recorded leaving the festival lot at 12:04 AM on Monday (Aug 18)

But the system NEVER caught him leaving Saturday
NEVER caught him re-entering the lot
His phone has been off since 10:30 PM Saturday
His computer hard drive is missing
No social media. No Google data. No paper trail.

Family says:
“WE ARE OUT OF LEADS. WE ARE OUT OF TIME. And we’re BEGGING for help.
We don’t know why he was in Saginaw.We don’t know where he went. We don’t know if he’s stranded, hurt, or worse.He’s not “just another adult.” He’s not someone who walks away from his life. He’s a creature of routine, and this is not who he is.”

The FLOCK cameras captured his car twice. At 3:34PM just about 25 miles north of the ren fest, and then again at 4:16PM in Saginaw.

From what I can tell based on the mother’s and LE’s posts, it is not known if he was actually seen in the medic tent. Mom was also at the RF and didn’t know if he was in the tent I believe, but didn’t have any knowledge of him being ill or feeling sick.

The 4:16 pm image - I don't detect anyone in the front passenger seat - but I'm no expert.

Since there were several hours of daylight left after his vehicle left RF Saturday maybe he intended to take the scenic coastal route home - M25 along Lake Huron & something went wrong?

The hard drive being reported missing by his mom is puzzling. Did she mean a small external hard drive? Or the main hard drive? I occassionally have an external one plugged in to back up stuff, then it goes in my fireproof safe, the regular computer hard drive remaining in place.
