He found a woman with cuts and bruises and he wanted to help her.

He is so much more arrogant and full of it than I thought he would be. And I thought he would be really arrogant. 'She wept in my arms', 'I advised her against this', 'She was a mess, physically and mentally, and that attracted me.' WTF!

He's just rambling as he sees fit.

Bob goes into master slave relationship with Rachel Gillette and he starts explaining that slave is not really slavery and the judge says I know that keep going I know that. Judge getting antsy

Aw, he's helping counselling her children with school, he helped her move on up to the east side.

This is all very touching.

"My lies were put in place to protect my family"

Judge cuts in: "To protect your family, or to protect YOU?" (I love her)

Feed sometimes lags. Bashara wants Jane's medical records to introduced into court. Says Jane was fine with Bob going outside the marriage due to her medical problems. He is sickening to listen to. Now talking about bondage, saying people who testified didn't know about bondage. Talking about events and how he learned about bondage. Now talking about girlfriends/slaves. Miss Gilette was going to break off with him but he says she really didn't want to breakup and he still had other women that she knew about. He says he led her on.

And this palaver would have saved him from conviction? LOL! Jury would have come back in faster!

He's describing all of his movements in the present tense.
Storytelling, storytelling.....

I'm not sure I'm following the point of this alibi establishment. He had Joe kill Jane. So what difference does it make where he was the day she was killed?

Wow, this is something else.
The judge has jumped in multiple times now, reminding Bashara and Ambrose that the purpose of this is to establish whether or not his lawyers were inept in the criminal trial. And each time they return to Bob basically just testifying in the general direction of establishing his innocence.

Judge just cuts in AGAIN and says, essentially, 'Look jerks. You need to stick to the procedural lawyer issues.'
Ambrose: 'But... one of those things is that Bob wanted to testify and his lawyers said no.'
Judge: 'That's nice, but he's NOT testifying here. Make with the procedural testimony about the lawyers.'
Ambrose: 'So Bob, after you met Joe, then what happened?'

5 minutes later... still not one word about lawyers.

Unreal.

Ha!
Judge to Bob: At any time during the trial did you bother to write me a letter about your dissatisfaction with your lawyers?
Bob: No.
Judge: Ok. We're going to take a 15 minute recess.

Thank you for all the posts. Much appreciated!

What's going on with the mics? Anyone else having trouble hearing?

It sounds like, while at recess, that the media guys are chatting about the goings on. They love the judge and the faces she's making at all of this nonsense, they're saying they need to keep a two shot going just to catch her.

lol...'Every time he tries to make a point, she ***** slaps him. I'm trying so hard not to laugh.'

Oh! You guys!
Bob was arrested because the city of Grosse Pointe was out to get him because he rented to people they deemed to be unsavory.

It was all a set up. He told his lawyers, and they didn't present this compelling evidence.

Poor Bob.

FREE BOB!

He just said that he was in a fog.

I wonder if Dr. Samuels is going to testify?

It was not an affair ...per bob

And they didn't have sex, they 'engaged in physical contact'

Talking point for Bob is "do what you need to to take care of yourself " per Jane
