ITA. All of Bob's actions are affected and calculated :dramaqueen: The repeated coughs, nose-blowing, glasses on-and-off/in his pocket/putting the temple in his mouth/peering over his glasses while looking at the attorneys or Judge, asking for the questions to be repeated, etc. are all narcissistic affectations. Not to mention the huge sunglasses that Bob wears into and out of the courtroom. What's up with that? Oh, wait! Movie/Rock stars do that when they want don't want the paparazzi following them. Yeah, BB definitely has such a humongous ego that he probably does consider himself a rock star :gaah:

Agreed. I also believe that it has been so since his childhood. He's done this so long, he doesn't have to think twice before he puts that little twist on things to make himself look good. I had many high-schoolers use the very same tactics over and over.

LOL "it" just invoked the F O G again! Good thing he missed the "snowflakes of October" in the real world or he might have thought he's "snowed" the Judge!:happydance:

LMAO...God forbid LL use the term "obfuscate"....as the smartest in the room, he would have "understood" that word....NOT!

BB: "I didn't have no interest in his hearing date." Double negative, so, subconsciously, he's admitted to it. Or, he had better things to do in English 101.

He has had so many inconsistencies, I've given up trying to keep track of them.

10 minute recess. Judge Vonda probably needs a break from Bob's bull. I am sick of him constantly asking to have a question repeated :gaah: I'm sure he hears what Ms. Lindsey is saying but wants to buy time to conjure up one of his ridiculous answers. Bob continues to try to rewrite history. He recalls things that are important to him but cleverly doesn't recall things that he said previously even though his comments are clearly documented. The more BB runs his mouth, the more obvious it becomes why his former legal team did not want him to testify.

SO frustrating...TV feed fades frequently....makes this, as RG would write per BB, "fantifical":laughing::happydance::laughing::laughing:

Court adjourned until November 13 at 11:00AM. Judge Evans going to attend conference and has another trial starting November 2. Bashara tells Judge he's not getting all his meds. Judge tells Mr. Ambrose to let her know about his client's needs.

"Master" Bob thinks he's so smart - correcting both the Judge and the Prosecutor at times. I noticed a little smile from the Judge when Bob made up the word "fantifical" What an azz  Both Judge Evans and Ms. Lindsey are catching Bob in lots of lies, but I doubt he even realizes what's happening. I'm sure Big Bob thinks he's convincing Judge Vonda that he should be granted a new trial. Bob wants so much to be in control but doesn't seem to get it that he's not in charge in the courtroom.

Agree. He still thinks he is a Master. Even in the Courtroom. IMO he will never see a new trial. Gonna see if I can round up some Gal Pals and get back there in Nov. since the Big Bob Circus Master is back. Mostly I would look forward to Greektown food thanks to BDE (BetteDavisEyes) recommendations when I was at the trial. I'll keep ya posted if i can work it out.

And peeps wonder why L. Lyndsey is getting frustrated ? Not speaking to here but on some of the news comments. Why is she yelling etc. etc. I think I would rather bamboo shoots up my finger nails than be subjected to THIS! If i was her.

I didn't have a calendar handy when the Judge announced that they would reconvene on November 13. Turns out that date is a Friday - that's right, Friday the 13th. My prediction: It will not be :whip: Master Bob's lucky day ;)

I'd like to thank those that posted the recorded segments of this hearing. I guess I should be astonished that BB is trying this "ineffective assistance of counsel" idea, but I'm not. He has utterly nothing at all to lose by manipulating the courts this way. He is going to die in prison, no matter what hearings they allow him to have for this. The only thing I'm astonished with, at this point, is the extreme patience of the State of Michigan and Judge Vonda Evans for entertaining BB in this way.

His counsel was not "ineffective", nor was it "ineffective enough" to change the outcome of his various convictions. IIRC, those are about 3 life sentences for first degree murder and solicitation of first degree murder, plus 5-15 years for miscellaneous obstruction, etc. He just has nothing at all to lose with this appeal, and his current life in prison is probably pretty monotonous and bleak. So, this is his "hurrah"-- his one and only opportunity to "get out" for a while, and poke everyone with a big stick.

Examples of claims of incompetent assistance of counsel that didn't survive to a new trial:

Not Incompetent Enough To Require Reversal

"Although defense counsel slept during portions of the trial, counsel provided defendant meaningful representation."

"Proof of a defense counsel's use of narcotics during trial does not amount to a per se violation of constitutional right to effective counsel."

"Murder defendant was not deprived of effective assistance of counsel, though counsel was alcoholic."

"Counsel's … seeming indifference to defendant's attire . . . through defendant was wearing same sweatshirt and footwear in court that he wore on the day of crime, did not constitute ineffective assistance."

http://caught.net/caught/ineffec.htm

He's done. His life is over. He looks awful and in declining health after only a short time in prison. He has some years to endure in prison before he dies. He is guilty of all of it. I watched some of his testimony-- it was ridiculous. Part one justifications for his infidelity, revealing Jane's personal medical issues, blaming her, saying she encouraged his infidelity, his own sex issues and medical issues, arghhhhhh.........why?? Why did the judge allow this circus? The whole thing reminds me of Jodi Arias verbally murdering Travis Alexander in court over and over again. BB defames and defiles his victims over and over-- nothing is ever his fault. I am just so sad that Jane ever fell for a charlatan like BB. He used her for her whole life, then had her murdered. She was caught for all eternity in a web of utter manipulation, while trying to lead a normal life and just pay the bills. I'm still so sad for her, and the 2 adult kids.

There is no punishment uncomfortable enough for a man like Bob Bashara. But I can hope for bleeding, ulcerated, and painfully thrombosed hemorrhoids, with chronic constipation to plague him for the rest of his life. Along with a bunch of other painful and noxious conditions. He should suffer, IMO. And live a long and miserable life into his late 90s at least. And then die and be forgotten in his death. He's a vile, evil excuse for a human being, IMO.

I understand completely your frustration with this whole farce, KZ. Unfortunately, it is Bashara's right to appeal to the judge. In fact, he has to do this before his appeals can move on.

Fortunately for Judge Evans and everyone involved, including his family, Bob's delusions of superiority and miserable ethics make it an easy decision. The only person who doesn't understand this is Bob.

In a way, this is a good thing that this fiasco is happening. It's clear he's a liar and manipulator, and not very effective at what he believes he is the master of.

Judge Evans is allowing this to continue ad nauseum because she has to. To cut the defendant off from testilying would deny him his rights.

There is one thing I know for sure. When his appellate attorney(s) move up the system, the State of Michigan has even more proof than before that Bob was up to his neck in the proverbial taurine excrement.

The good news is also that this is his last hurrah in public. The rest is all in the appellate attorney's paperwork and oral arguments.

I watched a few segments of the hearings yesterday that I had missed when live stream wasn't working. I can't help  when I consider the number of times during the current hearings that Bob has said, "I don't know why I said that because it's not true". The Court has produced and read back transcripts to expose Bob's inconsistencies and lies, and he readily admits that what he said wasn't true  How can anyone believe a word this man says when he admits that he didn't tell the truth?

When Judge Evans renders her decision, she will no doubt remind Bob of the many times that he lied under oath and admitted it. Bondage Bob :whip: has been caught in his own web of inconsistencies and lies. Whose the Master now, Bob?

I re-watched Friday's testiphoney this morning. It strikes me that, by filing this lunatic motion and testilying for so long, BB is undermining any legitimate appeals filed in the future.

I'm sure that, if Ambrose had his way, we would have perhaps had something much more legally solid. He could have nitpicked on any number of legitimate issues, but it wouldn't have changed Evans' mind. BB certainly would never have taken the stand and babbled on an on to his own detriment.

As it stands, I'm sure Evans already knows how she's going to rule on this and wishes it were over and done with by now. I have to chuckle at some of the questions she asks BB for clarification. As for the State, there's no mistaken the fact that they only have a female questioning him!

It's interesting to see how Master Bob attempts to dominate the women in charge. He thinks he has them on their knees whenever he makes them repeat a question. He makes condescending comments as he makes his snide little asides. Attention! BB, it's not working, even though you think you have them under some sort of control.

My final ramble tonight... I wonder if BB put down "helping women" who wish to be dominated by a man on his list of charitable contributions to society.

Respectfully <snipped>

Bob's body language is interesting to watch when Judge Vonda poses her questions to him. He turns in his seat to face her, straightens up, authoritatively and charmingly tells all. I think he perceives the Judge's queries as a sincere interest in "the lifestyle" and thinks if the Judge understands the subtle nuances that she will grant him a new trial. :whip: Master Bob hasn't yet figured out (and never will) that Judge Evans is a helluva lot smarter than he is and knows exactly how to get what she wants from him  Prosecutor Lisa Lindsey and Judge Vonda Evans have Bob by the balls :D
