Found Deceased MI - Jeff Hurley, 34, & Alexandria Foust, 19, Missaukee County, 7 Nov 2017

Thanks for posting this map. IMO is shows how this could easily have been a wrong turn scenario.
This is not a wrong turn scenario to end up all the way up by Moorestown. M-55, the state highway runs from Prudenville to Cadillac. It's not a hard route to follow, also her living in Cadillac means they knew where they were going. The drive is not that far. I lived between Lake City and Prudenville growing up. What is plausible is that they went two-tracking for fun. That is what people do around our area. They most likely went up there to do that and got stuck. It is possible that they were pretty deep in the woods that they couldn't get back to a real road walking.
It is not a wrong turn if you purposely drive off a real road onto a two-track.
This is written to give factual insight into implausible scenarios and speculation.

They were on a 2 track but within a mile of the road. It's unusual that they didn't follow the 2 track out. They passed houses on the way in, a mile and a half from there the truck was found stuck.

The arrow I drew points to the pipeline, that's the 2 track the truck got stuck on. Google wouldn't let me use that as the destination. You can see though that they could have walked North or South from the truck and would have ended up back at a road.

There was speculation that Jeff knew that area since he was a kid and knew that there were trails that led to Start City Rd. (Actually IIRC, someone said there is a 2 track that eventually becomes Star City Rd.)

This might be a silly question but what exactly is a 2 track?

It's like a one lane road that's not paved or graded or anything. It's made just by people driving the area repeatedly.

I'll find a picture of something similar.

The second pic gives you an idea of how it looks when they clear a swath of land to bury a pipeline. That's why I'm the map you can clearly see an open path through the swamp. There's a2 track on the pipeline.

I follow this case on here and on The Missing in Michigan on social media. I do know that her twin daughters are from a previous relationship. Jeff is not the Father. This case makes me [emoji848]..
Did they freeze, pass away, and a bear got them? Did they tick someone off on possible private property and someone killed and hid them? Or is the swamp like quick sand in areas and it swallowed them both?
I'll sit on the fence with this one. It's Strange but a hinky meter is also alarming in me!
Prayers the families get answers soon. So sad.

Something that I don't understand - they left Prudenville at 2pm, then they were seen by a hunter entering the swamp at 3:30pm. It's a half hour drive. Is it possible they made another stop or met someone?

Thank you! We don't have any pipelines going through our area(mountains) so I've never heard of this before. Look similar to logging roads in my part of the world though. Are these tracks places people like to use ATVs or go off-roading? Any other reason these roads are generally used beyond that and hunting?

Yeah, people often use two tracks for off-roading in the area. ATVs, snowmobiles, etc. I don't think they're used for much else beyond that and hunting. Unless somebody's familiar with one as a cut-through.

Would they go two-tracking on the way to an appointment in another town though?
Did they go in to meet someone there for a quick minute and get ambushed?
Did they go in there for a little foolin' around and someone came upon them and harmed them? (Thinking of the clothing being off.)
I need to re-read the old articles to see what I've forgotten. Did they find footprints, etc.

On the #BRINGALEXHOME FB page there is a post from yesterday from what almost sounds to be a roommate.
That person posts very heartfelt posts to his missing friends often. He seems really torn up.
What was the living situations of these people? Did they all three live in the same place?
Could this be a triangle situation?

I've driven down two-tracks in Kalkaska County in (usually failed) attempts to find shortcuts, but I can't say that I've ever driven down a pipeline easement.

Here, a couple hours northeast of where these two are missing, we have power line paths that look like the pictures above. In the winter, they are used a lot by snowmobilers.

great map' this sure looks like they were going to meet someone, i just keep feeling like they were going to their destination and someone called them off route to meet up but the police should have that info from their phones unless they are still awaiting the info from the phone company, ive seen episodes of the first 48 were it took 2 months for the phone records. i really hope there is some hope left in this case........

Still searching: http://detroit.cbslocal.com/2017/12/03/searchers-scour-swamp-for-couple-missing-for-nearly-1-month/

Volunteers have searched part of a northern Michigan swamp for a man and a woman who’ve been missing nearly a month.

WWTV-TV reports that 12 volunteers joined six members of the Wexaukee Amateur Radio Club during Saturday’s search for 34-year-old Jeff Hurley of Prudenville and 19-year-old Alexandria Foust of Cadillac.

The search of the Dead Stream Swamp began near the site where hunters found Hurley’s truck stuck in mud Nov. 7 in a wooded area of Missaukee County.

I'm glad to see that the ham radio operators helped with the search!

im not sure but i think i read he was either on probation or parol but i could be wrong but if you look at the prison record on page 1 i think it said he got an early release from prison for having a gun during a robbery, but the thing that caught my eye was he had a release date of 2039 , when you get early release and you violate your probation or parol i think you go back for the full sentence , they're not saying if he was in trouble again or not but thats a good reason to run facing 20 years back to prison, remember i could be wrong for all i know he was a great guy who just made some huge mistakes but thats a serious crime for a mistake did anyone else think that

what if someone harmed them somewhere else after they left prudenville then took their car up their to dump it and decided to tear it up but got stuck and got a ride out of there , these people could have been harmed back in prudenville and their killer decided to take their car half way there just to get suspicion away from themselves, or i watch to many cop shows, lol

Some articles of clothing were located in the swamp, which I suppose could have been staged.
