Some articles of clothing were located in the swamp, which I suppose could have been staged.

Do you have a link or post# with a link that supports this? I don't recall having read this detail before. TIA.

Thanks. I thought the post above meant clothes found in the swamp, like in a body of water. Sounds like in the area of the swamp.
The whole area is considered a swamp. A swamp isn't all water/wet.

Here, this explains it:

Definition of*swamp

1:*a wetland often partially or intermittently covered with water;especially*:*one dominated by woody vegetation

She says hunters found Jeff’s car then state police found his car keys, along with other belongings like Alexandria’s purse, some clothes, Jeff’s wallet, and both of their hats.

I'd love to know if the car keys and wallet were found in or very near a pair of pants. It does not make sense to me to leave things behind that easily fit in pants pockets and I think even if hypothermia caused them to undress, I do not see removing the keys and wallet that would likely be in the pockets. There phones have not been found correct? Again, why dump the keys and wallet but keep a phone (unless it too is out there and just hasn't been found). Or maybe his pants didn't have pockets and he got sick of carrying things or was angry and threw them?

Finding single shoes and clothes sounds very much like they were suffering from hypothermia. But like everyone else, I don't understand not going to one of the nearby houses at all. Unless they maybe sat in the car with it not running for a while thinking someone would show up, possibly fell asleep, and woke up already suffering from hypothermia.

How stuck was the vehicle? Could the exhaust have been blocked with mud?

What else is off is there vehicle had half a tank of gas, why leave it?

Sorry for the confusion. I meant the entire area is known to be a swamp.
"Investigators are focusing search efforts near Moorestown around the trails of Dead Stream Swamp, where they found items of clothing from the couple."

**She has at least two facebook pages that appear to actually the pages of Storm Porteous whom she was arrested with for attacking his ex girlfriend in Feb 2016. Oklahoma City, OK listed as "his hometown" but her name, one as Alexandria Marie Foust, is now the title on each page but not the address name. Porteous was in prison.

She is shown and claims to be the mother of two infant twin girls from another man.

So it appears that the ex-boyfriend was violent as well. My best guess is that he was involved in their disappearance.
