This is a copy of the message from Facebook it's the Coopersville exit the person who posted has stated in a follow up message. Don't want to say their name due to privacy concerns.

"There is a girl that works at a gas station off the Cloverville exit. She is being harassed by a guy.(she has no idea who he is) He's been calling her at work telling her how beautiful she is, and he wants to "mess around"
And "hang out".
She has asked him to tell her his name.
And he tells her "I will identify myself, the next time I visit you at the gas station."

Sorry I can't help with viewing the message yourself on your phone. I know it's hard to see these posts on my iPhone I am using an ipad just now.

This is odd because Coopersville and Cloverville are not even close to each other. Coopersville is off I96, maybe 30 minutes East of Muskegon. Cloverville is actually in Muskegon County. Do you mean that they originally said Cloverville, but then changed it to Coopersville in a followup?

The lady said Cloverville originally and corrected the message with an update stating it was actually Coopersville. How far are the two gas stations from each other in miles or kilometres roughly does anyone know?

Update Coopersville to Norton Shores is roughly 7.7 miles or 12.3 kilometres so definitely a possibility it's the same perp.

I'm wondering what they've pieced together from the back of the gas station/ abduction scene.
We know Jessica had cleaning supplies out and was likely in the process of closing up within the next half-hour.
But was she taking out the trash as we've discussed? Is the dumpster out back - Was the trash emptied in the store/thrown in the dumpster? Did she drop it - was she interrupted- any struggle?
Does she smoke cigarettes? If yes, Would she have stepped out front or out back to do that?
Was it common for employees to open the back door? Especially at night? Was it common for JESSICA to open that back door- especially at night - especially if she was alone?
Is there any reason for the back door to be used? Do customers usually use it?

What was the name of the coopersville station? It's 19.4 miles from the Exxon station in Norton Shores to the town of Coopersville. There are several stations right off the I96 exit there.

I can answer a couple of those questions. It has been said that she smoked, that she left her cigarettes behind. I do not believe customers would use the back door. There is just a front door that faces Sternberg Rd.

I think I will drive over there tomorrow either before or after my exam (college, not doctor) and take a look at the back of the store for myself. I would imagine the dumpster would be in back, but it could be at the East side possibly.

Coopersville is definately not 7.7 miles from Norton Shores.

It is a good 20 minute plus drive. But it is a straight shot down I96.

Just thinking about local regulars...
What about one of the vendors?!

Yes... What about the guys who refill the underground gas tanks?

Stay safe if you go over. If we could get an idea about the back of the garage that would be appreciated. Who would normally use the back door? Colleagues, people delivering items? Would Jessica open the back door to someone who arrived unexpectedly? I'm thinking about the perp would they risk going in the front of the station? How would they know they would not be seen?

I wonder if Jessica had a gun or if the perp threatened her with one to comply with their demands? Did she leave her bag behind?

Thank you!

Sometimes the air pumps and vacuums are on the side or out back. Potential ploy.

Thanks for this I appreciate your local knowledge. I haven't been to your great country yet I hope to someday. It's difficult to find out distances between places I haven't heard off before.

Good call. Someone could have said the vacuum ate their quarters or something. The vendor angle also makes sense. Beer, pop, fuel...there are probably 10 vendors in there every day. I bet they are all being checked out. Also, anyone who works over at the strip mall or across at G&L Chili Dogs might know the routine. There are lots of factories right down the road on Old Grand Haven Rd. It crosses Sternberg, and would be on the direct route from the factories to the highways. Second shift would be letting out at about 10:30-11:00 pm.

IF she walked outside with someone she knew or trusted, they might have both smoked a cigarette. If he left his cigarette butt there, there would be dna....

This is the bigger picture:

I just want to clarify something. The building you are pointing to in the satellite image is actually a restaurant (Texas Roadhouse). Meijer is a large retail store comparable in size to Wal-Mart. The Meijer pharmacy is located inside of the Meijer building, which is approximately 200-400 feet east of the Texas Roadhouse. The road on the right hand side of the satellite image to the East of the Texas Roadhouse separates the restaurant from the Meijer parking lot.

That's a very plausible idea.

FOX 17 went into the store on Sunday and saw that cameras had been installed since the abduction.

Authorities are now looking for a silver minivan – possibly a Chrysler Town & Country – that could be involved.

“A passerby had observed this vehicle near the store, parked near the store, and observed the vehicle driving away,” Shaw says.

Police are also looking for a white male between 30 and 40 years old – medium to heavy build with broad shoulders – with light brown or sandy blonde hair.

There’s a chance Heeringa knows her abductor.

“As a store clerk, she has contact with a lot of people,” Shaw says. ”Most of the people who have talked to us so far have indicated that she’s a very pleasant person – very sociable – so she engages in conversation with all of her customers, so it’s very possible that she may have known this person.”

Wilder agreed on Facebook, citing that the store typically has the same customers regularly: “This was also NOT just some random person that took her,” she posted. ”It was someone she knew.”

Heeringa is 5-foot-1 and 110 pounds. She has blonde hair, blue eyes, and occasionally wears wire-frame glasses. She could also be wearing a blue “Sternberg Exxon” polo shirt – the one she would have been wearing while at work that night.

If you have any information about events that led to Heeringa’s abduction or any leads in the case, contact the Norton Shores Police Department, Silent Observer, or the FBI.
