I'm still thinking this person knew there were no cameras and waited until end of shift. I don't think this was a crime of opportunity but a crime of obsession. I hope that police are looking at credit/debit card transactions that occur more frequently than others - especially when Jessica worked - and then comparing them to DMV records for face/vehicle similarities.

and then compare that info with cell phone pings in the area.

if the witness knew the person they saw at the gas station, they could get an exact sketch. but then they should be able to give a name too.

Unless they "know" the face by the face being familiar in the same town, but they might not know the person's name....

This doesn't make sense... I wish they would clarify that there are TWO people they brought in yesterday.
One guy was in his 60's and looked nothing like the sketch, from Muskegon.
So either the sketch is horribly wrong, or there is a 2nd guy also from Muskegon that they haven't outright confirmed.

That's what I told myself 6 hours ago...

Re: the dredging, was also pointing out the construction in the area, as well as its hostory and landscape in case it is of significance.

All just shots in the dark right now. Grasping at straws.

Ok, so back to the possible blood spots. Chief Shaw said IF its blood it will be sent off for dna testing. I would think a simple test would show if it was blood or not, but who knows, maybe the crime scene techs hadn't tested it...(okay brain is turning fast to mush, I'm trying to relate this to if the perp used chloroform, violent force with a blow of some sort, a knife, a gun, what exact means did he use to put her in the vehicle...this could be important in trying to link to other possibly related crimes...I wish they'd hurry up and tell is if they think the spots are blood, how much there was and the nature of its splatter, etc, and if its Jessica's, the perps...

where did you see the April 10, 2013 date at? I didn't see it.

The date last verifed was April 10, 2013 found under the detail section. However, I am not positive that they update on each quarterly in person check in. However, even if it is not standard to do I would think that if he showed up with hair buzzed they would automatically retake because he looks very different with buzz cut.
