I just saw the case of Amber Gerweck, Jackson, Michigan, April 2011, on ID / Disappeared Season 4.

"Sims, the FBI special agent, said he is satisfied with doctors’ explanations, and there is nothing left to investigate. Amber Gerweck and her parents believe someone attacked her in Jackson the night she disappeared.
“I have no idea,” Dale Seger said. “I think something very traumatic happened in Michigan. What that is? We don’t know. Something had to happened to trigger it. Who caused it? I don’t know. I think that will all eventually come.”
Amber Gerweck, however, is not certain she wants to remember it.
“If something scared me enough to send me running to my mom and dad, I don’t know if I want to know what it is,” she said. “Would you?”"

Who attacked Amber at that convenience store in Michigan in April?! On "Disappeared" she said she remembers a male spinning her around after placing his left arm on her shoulder. Could there be possibly any connection to Jessica? Its probably a stretch, but the convenience store where she was attacked is just over 2 hours away in Michigan, and the incident took place in April, 2011.

I have to admit, I often cringe when I see people use Occam's Razor to try to shoot down thoughts here. If the least complex answer was always the answer, these cases would not still be unsolved weeks, months, and sometimes years after they occur. JMO

This is a puzzling and wild experience/story. I suppose anything is possible. So, you think they have a similar face/look? The woman (looks like a girl) drove her own car though. Very strange.

Oh, thank you. I see you added a side by side picture above. Yes, they have a resemblance.
Plus she looks older in the picture you posted than the one featured in the article.

I think they have a similar look (glasses, coloring, face, smile, tattoo)...I'm not saying the cases are related, but there are definitely the similarites of Michigan, April, Convenience store.

As far as Amber driving her car, this occurred after she experienced some kind of "trauma" after possibly being attacked at the convenience store (she drove towards her parents house in a daze).

They really do look alike, I thought it was Jessica with more weight on her. But people are always trying to link cases like this when they may just be random. For instance, blondes going missing in April.....not necessarily connected. May be that there are just a lot, lot of creeps out there looking for blonde victims.

OT- Hello to all the familiar screen names out there, how is everyone tonight? This is only the second case on WS that I've actually followed from the beginning, and the first that I've actually been active in the thread. So many things about Jessica give me that "there but for the Grace of God" feeling. I'm her size almost exactly, I've worked the night shift in a lot of jobs and I worked overtime whenever I could get it to support my family, I'd even go so far as to say I'm scrappy. Except I'm sitting here, facebooking my friends, surrounded by love, next to my son; and she is not.

I wonder if locals, as some here, are beginning to think Jessica's abduction had something to do with her own life. Rather than a random crime as first presented. If so, that can be bad, as far as interest and degree of sympathy goes.

Ok, still grasping at straws, and I know this is probably a total reach, but there were some attempted abductions in Hamilton, Michigan in January where a white van with dents was reported (isn't a dent visible in the van of the surveillance video?) The perp was described an older, white male, 5' 10"...

*Also, while this attempted abduction was on a child, not adult, sometimes perps do attack both kids and adults (for instance Austin Sigg, Jessica Ridgeway's killer).

I looked at a trailer for a Disappeared show they did about Amber. In a picture they showed in the video, she has lots of freckles. Pointing this out so our (my!) imaginations don't run away in the wrong direction. Like, thinking they could be the same person. They share similar features though.

On the similarities..is it just me..or does the glasses in the other woman's photo look oddly like the ones they found in the park?
