What is the difference between being on Websleuths and talking about that missing person that most people would not know as opposed to starting facebook pages for people that they don't know?
I don't understand why it would be fine to discuss someone on one venue but not the other?
IMOO.

Considering what goes on on FB pages, there is a huge difference to me. Ws does not allow gossip, insults, swearing, "psychics" etc. Most of which is hardly helpful. WS is meant, IMO, for discussion of facts, maps, dissection of official reports, etc.

Thanks for your response. I don't do facebook, and I read open facebook pages that are public. Absolutely correct you are. :)

Has anyone found out which station of LE arrested the brother of the witness to Jessica's abduction?

In any case, my original post was not necessarily referring to this case, just to those who take on Fb pages for missing persons without the knowledge or consent of the family. That is what I feel is kind of wrong, and what I stated.

And that's why I asked what is the difference between facebook and websleuths because although there are threads on websleuths that have knowledge of the family of a missing individual, I don't know if all the families have consented to their missing one being talked about on websleuths, hence that's why I did not understand the difference between someone having a facebook page for a missing person and someone having a thread on websleuths for a missing person. Once you mentioned the Rules of Websleuths, then that changes the thinking, as an administrator to a facebook page for a missing person might not adhere to a stricter policy of respect for family and friends, etc.
Personally, if a facebook page is respectful to that missing individual and their family, I see no harm done, unless the family specifically does not want a page made for the missing family member.
But let me Add, that I think it is respectful for a person who wants to have a facebook page for a missing
person that they would contact the family first, just incase the family would not want the facebook page.
It's all a personal preference I suppose.

Speaking of this, on fb  , there is mention that the police report is available online via google search, but I don't see it...have we ever seen the police report? I can't remember...

Ok, re: the vehicle:

As I mentioned in an above post, I've seen a lot of cases on "Disappeared" where the perp immediately sells or gifts the vehicle after the "incident". Assuming this occurred here, perhaps there is a title transfer available via state records? The new owner might want the vehicle in his/her own name. Maybe LE can crosscheck all title transfers of this type of vehicle since April 26, 2013?

Another week has passed. We now have someone close to the case in jail. I would call this real progress! The van may never be found. It could be under a pile of brush near one of the 11,000 Michigan lakes. If we post his complete name(i do not know it) it will be possible to look up the arrest report on spot crime. In the Hannah Anderson abduction that is how the abductor got red of the car. He made Hannah help him cover it up.

It is only real progress if this person has something to do with Jessica missing,
or knows who has Jessica, or knows information about Jessica and is ready to spill the beans.

It will rain tuesday and wednesday in Norton Shores which will slow down the hunt for Jessica. I have not seen anymore information in the media about the arrest except he lived on the same street as the gas station. This puts him in the awarness space of the abductor. The truth will come out.

Were they searching this week?

I'm not sure that NSPD is actually working the case any longer. There haven't been active searches for a long time - perhaps not since the first couple of weeks following Jessica's disappearance. :moo:

I agree, because JA was in jail as well Sept 7th. I believe Kent City was where he was arrested. Doesn't seem like anything came from that arrest.

My thoughts on this case have vacillated from believing that Jessica was alive to her being deceased and back again to the possibility that the young mother is alive. I realize that much of what is posted on FB is gossip, rumor, speculation, etc. and can't be regarded as fact, but I'm inclined to believe at this juncture that someone is holding Jessica against her will. I continue to hope and :please: that Jessica will eventually be allowed to return to her family, her fiancé, and her son who surely misses his mom. :moo:

I have gone back and forth on my thinking, too.
Also, Jessica's family and her fiance have maintained, (in past articles anyway), that they have gut feelings that she is alive and being held somewhere.
