But Target 8 is exposing a new twist in the case — a surprising connection between a key witness and a man still listed as a person of interest.

Well......he mentions "they" could have been doing anything in there.
Well, did he "think" it was his brother-in-law and that's why they turned around and watched, seeing it was the same kind of van that his inlaws have??
Did he think the "they" in the van was Jessica Heeringa who was doing "anything" in there? If so, Who Was Minding The Store?????? Wouldn't they think, ok, they could have been doing anything back there, so let's see if any employee is in the store, and if Not, then why would there be no employee??? Wouldn't that seem ODD to them??? Especially the fact that people get out of work nearby and do frequent that Exxon. Weren't they interested at all if there was an employee even available to help customers??
They turned around to watch for a Reason.
Interesting that Their family Member used to date Jessica only Months previously.
Some of the people in all of this are pretty close knit........

I guess I better keep quiet for now. I am invested in a trial here right now, and don't want to get in trouble.

I wonder if a person would be considered an accessory, if they divulge information now, instead of coming forward back in April of last year?
I wonder if people would be afraid they would go to jail? Or they would be afraid that the perp would go to jail, if they have a personal relationship with the perp?
These things can keep people away from telling what they know to LE, although if they have a conscience, it will eat at them anyway.

People "talk". It's only a matter of time before someone opens their mouth and lets it slip. Or gets mad at the one who told them what happened, in turn telling LE. If there's more than one person involved, they should know it's not really a "secret". In the end, they're screwed anyways. They might want to talk to the cops themselves before they're no longer willing to negotiate. I get angry thinkin that someone has taken Jessica away from her baby and doesn't have the cojones to own up to it. Or to at least have a heart and give these people the closure they deserve. I think about her everyday. And my heart goes out to the family.
