[modsnip] You can't possibly think the local cops have done a great job and exhausted all possibilities. Pj hoffmaster is huge. So are the dunes north toward the channel. Barney fife and his three buddies have not searched enough. They have not told the community enough. I could be wrong...and I apologize if I am because I joined late, but didn't it take a year for them to announce the eye witness was the brother? They need to release more info so the public can help. Maybe this is the time to charge someone if they know who did it. Maybe the flood gates will open when someone is behind bars. There is no way these dummies have kept it a secret. Someone needs to reach the devoses and vanandles, the billionaires in GR and get this reward raised to $100k. There is a larger reward for dead cats.
But sit and wait? No thanks pal. I play offense.

Does anyone know how to reach the foundations of the DeVos, VanAndels, Meijer, or Gordon's?

This is one of our own. This is a Michigander. We need money.

Someone needs to flip on these dirtbags.

A couple of things to consider....we are respectful of each other here. We ALL want Jessica found and guilty parties brought to justice. Most of us have been here from the beginning. We locals have checked out leads, taken and posted photos, called in tips and tried to offer help when we can.

Also, as frustrating as it can be, it is against the rules to post photos and addresses of people who have not been named suspects or persons of interest by law enforcement. I believe this includes mugshots unless the person is a POI or a sex offender. If I'm wrong about that, my bad. But just a warning to new contributors - posters can be blocked for not following terms of service and we don't want to lose the fresh perspective brought by fresh eyes. Please be careful, and check out the TOS.

This whole thing reminds me of Shannon Fisher. She use to have a thread here. She was from a small town and went missing. There were three people the whole town talked about being involved. The ex boyfriend and his two friends. Three years later Shannon's other ex came in randomly for no reason and admitted to the murder. He said he got mad at her and strangled her. But everyone for three years blamed the other three people. To this day they all still have a bad stigma from it all. But they at least will show their face in public now. It was all pretty tragic.

Just jumping off your post. This is exactly why I say that as much as we all want this solved, I am willing to give LE the time they need to get the EVIDENCE needed to make an arrest that will stick. Although gossip and rumor often turns out to be truth, it also is very often just that. JMO

Jessica's case is a little different. Its a little more in your face coincidences. But yeah your right tho. Need to keep from getting tunnel vision. I've seen that leave a few cases cold before.

Don't bicker. Don't tell others how to post or direct them to read all past posts. Don't post names, pictures, or other information about people that have not been named as POIs or suspects.

Treat each other respectfully. If you have a problem with a post, alert it and let the mods look at it. Scroll and roll. Don't be snarky.

Check out the New York news regarding the unexplained dead cats. Reward $22,500.

What can we do to increase this reward? We desperately need national news attention.

Dateline, 20/20 producers! Where are you?

Go to linked in and ask Rich McHugh to help. He's a producer on Good Morning America. He's from a small beach town on Lake Michigan.

'Secrets don't remain secrets forever,' police chief says

April 23, 2014
NORTON SHORES, MI – To say the last year for investigators working on the mysterious Jessica Heeringa abduction case has been frustrating would be an understatement -- a huge understatement, says Norton Shores Police Chief Dan Shaw.

http://www.mlive.com/news/muskegon/index.ssf/2014/04/the_mystery_of_jessica_heering.html

This video is very revealing. It appears the PD have nothing at all and the investigation has been stalled. It makes good sense that the family is asking for the State police to get involved. Sadly, I fear Jessica will never be found and her family will not get the justice they so rightly deserve. I donated money to the SAR group that scoured the park a few months ago. They came up empty.

The worst part of it, is that little boy is growing up without the love of his mother.

<mod snip>. still looking for van and driver, it's what we are looking for the most. hey pal, ever occur to you that it's a red herring?

apply pressure. charge someone. get people talking.

there is NO incentive for people to talk. this guys is a like a warm friendly friend and the locals are laughing at you. this Arubu police strategy is ridiculous.

separate! charge! put some teeth into your questions big boy.

who knew there were no security cameras?
that's the list.
who on that list had motive?
who places themselves that day, that night or while police are there?
who has lied?
who has acted like they have something to hide?
who knew her well enough to walk her out without a struggle, AND tough enough to over power her and drive away?

Just using this post as a jumping-off point: have any current POIs/suspects actually been named by LE? I know that they have said that there are persons of interest, but have they named anyone as such, and is there a recent article on this I've missed?

TIA!

Video at the link, sure to raise the hairs on your neck.

"The former boyfriend is just one of a dozen persons of interest (police) identified. That list includes the gas station owner and Jessicas Fiance..... the former boyfriend and his sister refused to respond for interviews."
