DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit Police are hoping a tip from the public will help them track down a missing teenager who ran away from home a few months ago.

Jillian Tyson, 16, was last seen by her family the night of June 21, 2023, at her home in the 14800 block of Wisconsin, on Detroit's west side.

The teen left the house sometime after 9 p.m., without permission, police said, and she's believed to be a "runaway."

Tyson is described as a Black femal4, 5'4'' tall and weighing around 124 lbs., with brown eyes and black, braided hair. She has two tattoos: a bell on her left forearm, and a flower on her right arm.

She was last seen wearing a white sweater and gray shorts.

Anyone who may have seen this missing teen, or who has any information about her whereabouts is asked to call the DPD's 10th Precinct at 313-596-1001.

Tipsters who would prefer to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak Up (800-773-2587). The public can also submit anonymous tips online at this link.
