Found Deceased MI - Jimmy Ray Green, aka Doyle, 45, Lawrence, Van Buren County, 7 Oct 2020

Jimmy Ray Green, 45, was last seen at around 5 p.m. Oct. 7 in the Van Buren County village of Lawrence.

Green, who lives in Kalamazoo County, may be using the last name of Doyle. He was visiting friends in Lawrence on Blackman Street on Oct. 7. Green’s friends reported the man had been helping pick up sticks in the yard and walked away without saying a word.

Green was last seen walking west from Blackman Street on St. Joseph Street around 4:30 p.m.

The sheriff's office said about 5 p.m., Green asked to borrow a phone and call his family from a home on the corner of East James Street and Elizabeth Street in Lawrence.

Green's family says he has a mild form of Bell's-Palsy giving him a slight speech impediment. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, khaki pants, and a military-style boonie hat. He is about 5'5" tall and around 205 pounds. Green has green eyes and brown hair. He current has a full goatee and mustache.

What was said during the phone call? Its been 6 weeks without any further contact I presume. So sad...

It's still not clear what happened to Jimmy. Apparently he was picking up sticks w/ a friend then he simply walked away to his death. So sad. May he rest in peace.

... last seen in the Lawrence area while working with a friend. He apparently walked away suddenly while doing yard work. He later was observed walking behind the Lawrence post office near some railroad tracks and hadn’t been seen or heard from since.

No foul play so far. Investigation continues.
