Investigators say Ragen was in her home in the 200 block of Second Street in Au Sable Township, arguing with her husband before 11 p.m. on Monday. Ragen then got a revolver and shot him in the chest.

The man was pronounced dead at 11:13 p.m.

Ragen was denied bond during her arraignment on Tuesday.

She is scheduled ot be back in court on Oct. 14 for a probable cause hearing. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 28.

Iosco County woman charged with shooting and killing her husband

According to the Iosco County Prosecutor, 32-year-old Melissa Ragen is charged with open murder and felony firearms.
