Wayland post troopers are requesting assistance from the public with helping to locate a missing Delton, MI man.

Michael John Hodge w/m 76 years old was last seen on Friday 11/8/24 by someone other than his wife.

Micheal is known to wear a black fleece jacket.

His family is concerned about his well-being. If anyone has any information please contact Barry County Central Dispatch or MSP Wayland post.

Hodge, according to caretaker Brittany Bill, has Alzheimer's.

It was an all-hands-on-deck effort Tuesday as members of the Delton community gathered in a search party for a missing man.

Planck said she owns the company that employed Hodge’s caretaker, who had seen him on Friday before he went missing. The caretaker noticed no abnormalities in his behavior, according to Planck. She also said Hodge was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and that this was very unlike him.

Police seek tips on missing prominent Lansing attorney

Michael Hodge of Delton, a former advisor to Gov. Jim Blanchard and a longtime Lansing attorney, was last seen Friday in rural Barry County.

On Wednesday, state police officials said they continue to search for Hodge and have deployed its aviation and marine units as well as other resources to help find him.

Hodge has "some degree of dementia" and was discovered missing Sunday, according to his daughter, Meghan Hodge Groen.

"He frequently goes for walks, but he cares for my mom with Alzheimer’s and wouldn’t intentionally leave her for long," Groen said Monday night on Facebook.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The body of a missing Delton man has been found, ending the dayslong search for him, according to police.

His body was found during an “extensive K-9 search,” Michigan State Police wrote in a social media postThursday night.
