MI - Nevaeh Buchanan, 5, Monroe, 24 May 2009 - Body found - #5

I don't know if anyone has brought this up yet. I'm a little busy going thru all of the older threads putting media links in some sort of order and haven't caught up with my reading here but I'll toss it out and let you all assess it's value. (or not)

This SO's house is 1.8 miles from where Nevaeh was found - a 4 minute drive.
A on map below: 11058 Dixon Rd (as close as I can tell is where Nevaeh was found)
B on map below: 12829 Dixon Rd - RSO - apparently he travels between Florida & Michigan as he's registered in Florida too and I did do some digging and there are family ties to Florida. (you don't want to know what I was thinking, give you a hint - starts with an H . . .) I'd like to know if he's friends or associated in any way with JB, GK, RS, JE, . . .I'd like to know where he works. Is he in construction? Does he work at Holcim, the cement company that's only 5.2 miles from his home (12 minute drive) and carries the large bags of ready-mix??? Even if he wasn't associated with the other *&%$#@()!@ (sorry, got carried away) doesn't mean he didn't see Nevaeh somewhere else and get fixated on her. That was another reason that I asked earlier today about St. Joseph's cemetery, if she may have used that as a cut-thru/shortcut at any time - I was a kid once and I can still remember cutting through some areas that my momma told me not to - just thinking possibly a groundskeeper, lawn mowing contractor, maintainance guy . . .TIA!

I had to use the FWD site pic because it allowed me to get the shot of him with his address viewable.

Other maps have flagged the same general area. This one seems to be really close.

I looked at it in Google Earth and found a street view at this location,

41°57'51.69"N, 83°35'1.24"W

that looks very promising. If you copy the above coordinates and paste into Google Earth's search box it will go to a streetview camera icon labeled 11058 Dixon Rd. To help confuse matters there are several icons in line with the same label. This one might be the exact spot. I need to review the videos of the site.

Can one of our locals check me on this?

He said he went to the motel and to a nearby gas station, where he believes he appeared on video. He went back to the dormitory and took his friends to their home.

Wasn't it Roy that Kennedy drove to the inmate dorm? Then he took 'his friends"...Roy?.....home. If Roy had a car, why did he need Kennedy to cart him around? Why does none of this make logical sense?

The van supposedly belongs to Roy's nephew. Maybe the nephew had the van earlier.

Huh? Did all this escape Savannah's memory? Did he supposedly do all these things in the 30 minutes that Savannah said he was gone? What about the friend who picked them up at her house at 10pm? Who was that?

Yes, this info came from a local on MT who said they knew Jennifer and Sherry. I believe she stated that Nevaeh was only 4 months old and was left in the vehicle unattended while Jennifer committed the robbery.

The closest I can come to forcing this into a logical form is:

George went somewhere at 7:15 in girlfriends mom's car.
Went somewhere he would be on video and used a credit card.
Alibi.
He returns mom's car to "Savannah's home" which I think is her mother's house.
They need to leave the car there since they are not coming back to the house.
They wait until Roy is done doing whatever he is doing (would love to know the answer to this?) and he comes to get them and drops them at the motel where they are taken in.

GK doesn't have his own vehicle because supposedly he parked the van at Savannah's mother's house because he didn't have it registered.

Okay, how many of us can up with 2 solid alibis as to where we were at a certain time and date? Most of us couldn't provide a rock solid alibi for most of our time anyway, not one that would hold up if we were ever accused of murder. Yet GK has 2 alibis. Rock solid according to the reports.

Just makes me wonder if he knew he would need an alibi.

I thought the van was parked at Savannah's mom's house because it wasn't properly registered. Or is there more than one van?

Could the nephew be Kevin Lee Smith? He is an RSO who lives near the location where Nevaeh's body was recovered. May be no relation at all but it warrants sleuthin' if ya ask me. Also, Remember Jennifer met Kennedy at the Parole office (I think)... apparently these RSO's come in contact with one another, either at the PO or maybe even Goodwill (also located near where Nevaeh's body was recovered), or work/counseling programs.

Kennedy said he had traded his Ford Thunderbird to Smith for his nephew's GMC van. He said he parked the van May 22 — two days before Nevaeh vanished — at the home of his girlfriend's mother on North Monroe Street after state troopers cited him for driving it without a valid registration.

Well, I agree, when I'm home alone my only alibis would be the computer and cell phone pings. However, yes, it could be he was trying to set up the alibis, or just lucky that he had them at the time. MOO

If we assume that Nevaeh disappeared earlier than what was reported, we can go back as early as about 3:30 when the upstairs neighbor said she left his apartment. Whether or not Jennifer and Nevaeh actually went to KMart after that seems to be unproven at this point. We would also have to assume that no one saw Nevaeh after 3:30 and that the story of a child telling on her for riding in the street either happened earlier or not at all. That leaves the time from 3:30 to 7:15 for George to snatch Nevaeh, harm or kill her, and bury the body. Two witnesses who took polygraphs give him an alibi from 4 to 7. Apparently he also has an alibi (people he drove, getting gas, etc.) after 7.

In order for him to be the perp, George, Savannah, Savannah's mother (I'm assuming), and Jennifer would all have to be lying and be able to fool a lie detector test. I'm not buying it.

Great information. This has me curious, LE has openly stated that they have looked at three SO's in the area, but have not said anything about looking at any others. This is what makes me think they have not totally ruled out the two SO's in custody, there has been no talk of other suspects being questioned. Or maybe they are just keeping things quiet ?
