this need to go to LE asap, I seem this last night, good catch because I didn't think of it today, I still got GK in my radar and Easter.

Sure does! And I did look again at the live-map of this guys address. That is not a green station wagon. It is more like a small 'Jimmy SUV'.

If there is one drop of the murderers blood on the concrete, it will dry and can be scraped off for identification. Whoever did this is dumb in capitol letters because I will just bet that CSI will find some forensic evidence.

:mad:What the hell is wrong with some people??? I say if our president is going to close Gitmo, take all the RSO's & baby killers there! Just sick.

Darn Fabulous Idea!

Yah, and maybe she just didn't care. I would be at that crime scene in a heartbeat had it been a member of my family. Just me I guess...but I couldn't sit at home.

Best,

Mel

And you probably would have been out searching every day for her too..but she wasn't doing that either.

Just logged back on to this terrible news! Rest sweetly, Neveah.

As for the concrete... if it was found at the edge of the water (and I have read several links you guys posted that described it as a concrete "lump") and out in the open I have many issues with this... even if it was only partially submerged..

If you go thru the trouble of encasing a body in cement WHY would you not sink it in the river itself? If you are going to bury something you bury it... if you are going to submerge something you sink it. You don't partially bury something and than pour quick crete on it like icing on a cake and you certainly would not sink something in shallow water. So what is this telling us????

I can honestly tell you all that I am so very glad that she was found... From the second she was no longer alive she needed to be found... so I am so very glad that whomever did this was stupid enough to not be able to commit the perfect crime.

Whomever did this is base and evil and disgusting. I am so completely disgusted. My disgust extends to her mother fully and completely.

I did find that odd Bee. Why was she on the bank and at the edge of the river with the river right there?

Yes, it is good that she has been found. The townfolk fell in love with Nevaeh and they will see to it that she is buried properly.

imo

I can tell alot about the IQ of the perp just from this alone!

The River Raisin, or at least the parts of it that I've seen, is very shallow and runs very quickly. I think a body dumped anywhere in it would soon turn up on shore down river.

I can hardly speak, being from Monroe almost all my life, it hits home as if I knew the child. Just today I was involved in a case where CPS removed a child, because she is engaged to a RSO who just went back to prison for violation, being around this mother and child. The mother stated she read his case file the girl and the RSO talked about having sex before it happened, so she knew what she was doing. The girl also was special needs. I wanted to pull up this case and just show her what could possibly happen. But the mother is in love and would never do anything to hurt her. This is unreal. This is one of my worse days in a long time.

Nursebeeme, at first glance it tells us, they are stupid, lazy and incompetent.

I hate to hear this. So sick of this. It never gets easier. The grandma is the one I feel sorry for. The mom spoke so slow and methodical....no emotion in my opinion.

I'll have to think of this way as I do others, maybe this lil angel was saved from the hell she was enduring or about to endure here on earth (with the sex offender-lollapoloosa) that she's much better off now. Poor lil girl.

I feel for grandma too, but facts I keep hearing is the GM had custody and JB was supposed to be supvised, why wasn't that being done? I hope LE comes up with some charges, I feel she did not even know her daughter, she was in prison while her daughter was being raise by GM,:furious::furious::furious:
something not right about JB, :furious:

I just got home. We went out to our Mega Food Court here and later to the PX. While we were in the Food Court my Husband came running over to me...he was yelling "they found Neveah" over and over.

He is devasted because he has been following her disappearance.

Oh bless your sweet heart baby girl. I can't believe what they did to you.

I'm so sad and so is my Husband tonight. Just wanted to share because I know that many of you here probably were just as sad and disappointed for Neveah.

Here's the Detroit Free Press front page. Several articles.

http://www.freep.com/

Now one of the articles is saying concrete block.

Updated at 10:15 p.m.

The pair – a man and his father -- noticed a disruption in the soil along the edge of the river and saw a large cement block and a chip in it, from which a terrible smell emanated.

The younger man apparently poked at the soil and saw skin. They immediately contacted police.

Swear to God, our world has come to the place where the perves have more rights than do our precious children do to be safe on our streets. This Kennedy guy was out in 2 instead of the 15 he was given? If our govt isn't going to be much more proactive in this then perhaps we'll have to step to the plate and take things into our own hands! I'm ready, willing, not so able but will do all I can!

I asked my husband, he works with cement everyday for the last 30 years, it does have lime in it and it dries the hands out horribly if you don't wear gloves.

I hope the key to the arrest of the perp is held in the concrete. Dry hands? A guy who happens to carry Quik-crete on his truck and rubber gloves to protect his hands? There has to be something.

I have a science brain and would love to figure out how fast of a current could move at least 80 pounds of a person and concrete.. I think who ever did this... if they attempted to sink it... most likely didn't throw it out that far and it drifted to the shore. If we do the math with the river current and estimate the weight of the concrete containing Neveah we could possibly figure out the point of entry into the river....

so what would it take to mix the sacrete.
a bucket, some water and something to stir it with. you would never touch the stuff if you dumped it on the ground.

Actually, he/she could have dug an oblong hole in the bank of the water, placed the body in it, poured the quick-crete in it and used the water from the river. Could have all been done onsite there.

From the description of the man and boy fishing, it doesn't seem like it was a very thick layer covering Nevaeh's body if he was able to scrape it away.

I vote for stupid. I think the perp thought the concrete would seal in any odor, what they didn't realize is that a thin layer of concrete will crack and sink as the soft body decays. I wonder if there was dirt shoveled over the concrete in an attempt to hide it.

not to be disgusting... but if it was in a block... that means it was poured over Neveah while she was in a large form of some kind

so no evidence of the quik crete in the auto or on him/her or cuts from it. they can only look for receipts. i would bet on walmart or kmart. at least they have cameras.

I'm thinking Home Depot or Lowes ya know, where a "man" goes to get Quickcrete.

The live report said that she was found in a shallow grave, not encased in concrete but covered in it.

Great work, Momtective!!!! The Baker St address is 1.2 miles from the Motel 7. Have you been able to link this guy to the bf?

If Kennedy is the perp, I doubt he has a credit card. Is he even employed?

Well Chilly if he can fish all day and lives at Motel 6 my guess is No, but I could be wrong. JMO.
