I have no doubt that LE has retrieved some of the living blow flies found at the shallow grave. It will give them a very good estimate as to how long Nevaeh has been there. Personally I think she has been there the same day she went missing.

So much can be learned.

imo

I'm trying to map the location of where they found Nevaeh in relation to Some possible GK relatives but I can't find a specific location. One article said Dixon Rd. - I can't find a dixon rd in MI on Google maps.

Hi Lurkeyloo, There is a map and a photo from Google of the site within the last 5 -6 pages of the last thread. I'll try and bring a link to that page over. My c & p doesn't always work.

Or possible trying to avoid animals (wolves, vultures, etc...) digging her up.

Yes - I'm thinking that whoever did this didn't want her to be found, but was sloppy or inexperienced with the materials he/she/it used to try and hide this poor baby.

Bless those fishermen a thousand times. I'd have rather (with all of you) that she been found alive and safe, but thankfully she's been found early enough that some evidence may exist and put away the *insert expletive here* thad did this evil deed.

Funny when you think of it, that fishermen found her. I'm not particularly traditionally religious minded but it was fishermen that Christ found to help him spread His word. Perhaps these fishermen were guided also, without their knowing it.

"Because I am a sex offender it doesn't mean I have to bury myself under a rock

nice quote from George

Yes, that is a rather strange choice of words. Of all the things he could have said, Why that metaphor?

I wanted to bring this forward from thread #3. We have 55 members here this morning and 52 guests on this thread.

Hopefully someone has the time and the skill to map this out for us, if so thank you in advance!

Is anyone good with maps and has some extra time? If so, is this enough enough to google map out the location of the discovery?

...Earlier, police cordoned off an area near the River Raisin around Dixon Road in the area of Ida-Maybee and Neiman roads. By 7 p.m., at least four people in white Hazmat suits were walking along the south bank of the River Raisin in an area just east of railroad tracks near Yensch Road...

TIA for anyone up to the challange.

From user E-U-R ---try this no clue if it will work

Me too Kat. It is hard to imagine what these two men went thru. I think of those flies all over his arm and the thought of it makes me sick.

And to think they then waited for 2 hours for LE to arrive. That blows my mind as it was only a 1/2 hour drive from Monroe from what I read. You would think they would have been racing to that scene with horns and lights!

Do you think they will get the reward?

I hope they do and hope they accept it. They could use it like the man who was awarded in the Cantu case and help to provide the teenage boy with a college education in Nevaeh's name. I am comforted by that thought.

Actually, fishing is very popular in Michigan. I would say that area was easily accessible; close to the water, and deep close to shore, a good fish run. I think whomever it was knew that river, and had been fishing there in the past.

And so it goes in Michigan. Anyone remember the popsicle guy? The police went to the scene, spent 45 minutes looking, and left. They didn't follow up on another search. Meanwhile, people were doing sports in that building, and everyone there was aware of where the body was. They continued with their sports. The cops could have just asked one of them where the body was. Lazy, useless.

After watching the video I realize that the Lord brought just the right person to little Nevaeh. I believe with all my heart.....and i know that many don't believe in God....but, He knows everything, He will bring everything into the light when he deems right. This gives me hope for every missing child....

I don't know how this man can speak right now.....but he seems very lucid and quite frankly I understand why the Lord brought him to her. If you haven't watched the video please do....he breaks down towards the end and it is very touching.

I don't suppose LE gave a reason why it took them 2 hours to arrive, did they? It ticks me off this wasn't a priority call.

The report from the woman upstairs sheds new light on things if JB was to take Nevaeh to the store. Is there a link?

Where did you read that it was 2 hours for LE to arrive?
If on here I believe it's a mistake.

http://www.clickondetroit.com/news/19662141/detail.html Half way thru the article it states
At first they said they didn't think much about it. After about 2 hours, Bickley said he kicked the concrete and noticed something.
Then they immediately contacted LE. I believe that's where the 2 hours is coming from.

Angels truly walk among us. I am grateful.

OMG I rarely cry. Rarely. He brought tears to my eyes. (ETA)
