It is my opinion that the single common denominator among almost every abduction is that the victim was alone. Given that basic concept, why oh why do parents repeatedly leave their children alone? This is the part that breaks my heart every single time another child is lost; knowing that it could have been avoided if the child had been supervised. Even my 14 yo is not allowed to walk anywhere alone. If she wants to run the track at the high school while I take the wee one to soccer practice at the middle school next door, she has to have a friend with her. It is called the buddy system, tried and true.

So, why did JB have Nevaeh? Should'nt the JB's mother be in trouble too and just as responsible as JB to allow Nevaeh around SOs?

Also, has anyone seen a picture of JB without sunglasses on?

You said it, 90% of the missing children cases are because no one is watching out for the kids, I remember when I was a child no matter where we went to play we always had an adult close by and never left alone.

It's not that way in these current times and people need to get a grip and do the right thing, WATCH YOUR KIDS.

I tend to agree. The fisherman said he sat on two rocks in front of the cement. Those rocks, maybe.

I happen to believe that it's true and I think JB's statement about Nevaeh never going with a stranger was a major faux pas! This tells me that the perp was somebody both JB and Nevaeh knew and narrows it down considerably. MOO

Sadly, most likely it wasn't strangers little Nevaeh needed to be cautioned about, it was her mother's choice of friends that she needed to protected from.

The people this woman willingly exposed this little girl to is beyond my comprehension. Poor little Nevaeh, she surely didn't deserve the rotten cards she was dealt in this life.

Obviously both of them felt the need to account for some injuries. I think that LE might be using his parole violation to hold him in jail while awaiting test results and doing a thorough investigation. MOO

That's correct. I was in charge of "watching the kids" when I was a kid, (being the oldest). And we lived way out in the country. The kids were never left alone. I guess my parents were pretty wise.

'I figured maybe she was back there playing. Savannah went one way and I went another way,' said Kennedy, who has been locked up on an unrelated parole violation in the Monroe County jail since May 24, when Nevaeh went missing. '"We went to certain areas that I thought she could be."

After a security guard told him that police had been at the apartments looking for her, Kennedy said Nevaeh's mother reached him on his cell phone to tell him that sheriff's deputies wanted to talk to him about the missing girl because they learned he was a convicted sex offender.

This article peeked my curiousity yesterday as to why the Greenwood Apartments area was searched very early on - not only did someone obviously give police information that led them there to search right away, GK and GF Savannah, on their own, went there as well. It seems to me that Navaeh may have had a friend that lived there - whatever the case may be it appears that Navaeh had gone/been to Greenwood Apartments before (prior to her disappearance). Interestingly there is a SO that lives at 1256 Maple Blvd. which is directly onroute to Greenwood Ave where the Greenwood Apartments are located. Additionally I couldn't help but notice that if you follow Maple Blvd south all the way to the end, you come to E. Elm St. If you take a right onto E. Elm St, E Elm St. turns into W Elm St which then becomes N Custer Road - the road where Navaeh's body was found. It may be nothing and completely coincidental but I thought that I'd at least mention it in the event that the name or location sparks a thought with someone else. Below is a link to the RSO that I'm referring to.

This is all very interesting, link won't work directly but others here can conduct similar search. (Every parent should be required to familiarize themselves w these tools and then update themselves regularly, twice/year at minimum, re SO's within range of their child. I discovered one living right across the street at another community managed by same prop mgmt as our's--which shares our facilities. Reported him upon which he was promptly evicted. There are TOOLS and LAWS, but once again it takes PARENTS who CARE enough to use them.)

Honestly, I cannot believe in this day and age, people actually need to be reminded not to leave their children on the street undefended. I raised children for more than thirty years and since the 70's, my children were never allowed to play out front without a parent being there. It didn't matter if it was So. Calif or Oregon, LA County, or any desert town. Parents need to be aware there's ALWAYS someone looking for victims!

N/k... obviously even registries are only those registered, and doesn't include those undetected. (How many times do these guys perpetrate again before ever being caught?) Yes we need lawmakers and policies to change, yes we need to use tools but above all as parents to be VIGILANT as there's realistically just no substitute for a protective, watchful eye at all times. Lord PLEASE help them put this SOB where he can never hurt another child. rayer:

FWIW I believe the specific blood sample found in motel and tested was found inconsistent--ie was not Nevaeh's.

That's the last I heard but also from what I heard, that's a heck of a lot of blood to have come from someone. Weird.

I am just now watching NG and no one has made any comment about the perp putting her there for reliving his deed. I am surprised they are missing this aspect. It is a very telling sign, imo.

Looking at the crime scene, it appears LE moved the two flat rocks which I am guessing the killer placed partially over the gravesite. This would mean the perp could sit right there over her body. He set it up for himself to come back, imo (I don't think I need to spell out why he would do this).

I thought about the perp drowning her and it is possible (I don't care what Nancy says about it). The perp may have put her in the river to try and wash off evidence, too.

Just watched the presser - did anybody note that the Sheriff slipped and said "COLLUSION" rather than conclusion?

"...bring this to a successful collusion - conclusion" (at abt. 9:05 min into the presser..) This was soon after answering a question about Nevaeh's mother's cooperation and about if she knows anything more about this.

LOL My dog has his preferences on talking heads now. He can't stand JVM and growls at her every night, but adores NG.

I do feel it is my duty to warn you of WS addiction. It comes on quickly and without warning you find yourself here losing sleep, eating fast food, and unable to walk away. And we wouldn't have it any other way.
