Pontiac After less than two hours of deliberation, an Oakland Circuit Court jury found a 21-year-old man guilty in a fatal 2012 baseball bat attack on a Farmington Hills family in which the father was beaten to death and two other family members were severely injured.
Mitchell Young, 21, pleaded not guilty to charges of first-degree, premeditated murder; first-degree felony murder; assault with intent to murder; and armed robbery in the incident in which Robert Cipriano, 52, was beaten to death with an aluminum baseball bat. His wife Rose, 51, and a son, Salvatore, 17, were seriously injured. Salvatore, who suffered multiple skull fractures, remains under care for brain and head injuries. Salvatores twin brother, Tanner, hid during the attack and called police. An 8-year-old sister, Isabella, was at home but not physically injured during the attack.
Young, who showed no emotion when the verdicts were read, will be sentenced to life in prison on July 25...
