Robin was last seen sometime in 1966, when she was around 16 years old. She was living with her mother and "strict" stepfather at the time after the death of her father from cancer, and when she disappeared her mother and stepfather told people that she had run away. She was attending Port Huron Catholic High School at the time, and had unclaimed inheritance money from her grandfather that she may or may not have known about. Robin had three siblings, and one of her brothers who has since passed away submitted DNA to Ancestry in hopes of finding her. Robin was never reported missing.

Her stepfather's name was Navarre George "Stogie" Revnew, who died in 1978, and Robin was not mentioned on his obituary like her siblings were.

It is important to note that Robin was mentioned on her mother's 1997 obituary as a surviving child, and that no-fault divorce was not an option in Michigan in 1966.

The surname seems to be Gerow, not Gerrow. This is confirmed by Ancestry school photo records (the pics above) and other online articles. The obituary of the stepfather seems to be the source of Gerrow.

Unless her mother had her obit written ahead of time, it would be the choice of the person/s (Robin's sibling/s?) who wrote the obit to list Robin as pre-deceased, missing, etc. Perhaps it means nothing and was simply to recognize the mother had a daughter named Robin. But then maybe someone feels she was/is alive. My first take on a missing 16 year old in 1966 is "unwed mother" shipped away before murder at the hands of her stepfather and/or mother. But you never know.

IMO, Robin's mouth and wide smile would be a possible identifier in a professional age-progression.
