MI MI - Ronald & Christine Jabalee, both 58, New Baltimore, 6 Oct 2006

Why is Ron not a jr.? If he has the same first name, but not the complete name of the late Mr. Jabalee then he may not officially be a Jr., but could still be considered that by someone dying and trying to write the name of their killer in blood. Of course it could also mean the youngest brother or son. I stand by my theory that the message says Jbale Jr.

Ok, I am not the least bit surprised that there is a request to start the trial possibly "next year." But what does intrigue me is what appears to get so little consideration. I believe someone here mentioned it awhile back in these posts. Let's just look at the murders themselves. From what we know of human beings/nature and their (let's say 'usual') tendenices they fall something like this. As humans, we don't generally "overkill" unless there is some personal/emotional stake, so we could most likely rule out complete strangers. We have also learned that the use of a knife is another extremely 'personal' aspect. You have to be really close for those to be effective (for the most part). I think I remember some discussion about which was used first; I wish I knew, but either way one weapon or the other should have been enough. From the appearance, the skull appeared to have been 'jigsawed' back together (so that was absolutely brutal) as there were multiple blows (far more than needed to actually subdue and kill him); that would seem like immense rage. What sorts of issues result in that level of rage?
Thanks for the Welcome!!!

Right there with you txsvicki!!!
Offically he is not a Jr., Dad was Ronald G., the accused is Ronald F.
But I agree with all you said above, consider the circumstances under which the letters were written

Possibly YEARS of repressed anger and resentment towards being controlled?! I am not sure we will ever know the exact truth of the why and how, but I am looking forward to seeing all the evidence the DA has in this case. Especially regarding the knives that were found to be missing from the butcher block in the house. To me that speaks of no premeditation, no weapons were brought to the scene. So ironic isn't it, who do you think taught Jr. to use a knife?

I was also privvy to the younger sibs penchant to over-fret his dad's perception of him. Someone mentioned that the younger sib "could do no wrong" in the parents eyes but that did not always appear to be the case. At times, the dad would come down verbally on the youngest like a sledghammer, causing clear turmoil. I imagine it would be just as hard to maintain a fake facade by having to keep up a false belief (can do no wrong) as it would be to try to live above a parents low opinion (nothing is good enough). IMO either way could precipitate enough anger/resentment. The element of premeditation does appear to be missing UNLESS, again mere speculation, you already know what tools are present. AND my final pet peeve is if my parent called me like clockwork EVERY Friday at 6pm and misses this Friday, I AM NOT going to wait until they are a no-show at work the following morning. No one put in a call before then? That's what is unbelievable if it didn't occur.

  • #446
That makes sense Insideout. If Dad called his son every Friday at 6pm, wouldn't the son try to find out THAT night why dad didn't call? Because he already knew why there was no call.

  • #447
Was there ever any mention of whether LE checked the shower in the house to see if it had been recently used? Seems to me the murderer would have quite a bit of blood on him. Evidence that someone washed up outside with a hose?

Insideout, do you know if Ron had a vicodin addiction before the murders or if that drug use escalated after the murders? Do you know what injury he had that required the use of a painkiller?

One thing we have not heard about are family members having alibi's for the night of the murders. I'm guessing one or more did not have one, as the one insurance company was trying to withhold benefits payout based on the fact some family members could not be cleared as suspects.

Knox, I can't speak specifically to Vicodin use before the homicides BUT there was obviously indication of SOME use of something long before. I know influence when I see it. Not sure on the precipitating injury.
Alibis . . . hmmmmm. That market could give anyone an alibi. "Yes, he was here all day," maybe, maybe not. They like to seem as though they are keeping tabs but I've seen many play hooky and successfully so. But, that may also have to mean that 'several' were playing let's cover so-and-so.
The missing or lack of blood following the killings would hopefully and immediately spurn a drain search. I just cannot see the blood dripping and casting off in many directions without this person(s) having evidence on him/her/them. But, again, we really don't know what (if anything) was brought to the scene (maybe this person(s) had on coveralls or a mechanics jumper or something along those lines that could be removed without under layers of clothing being stained. Likewise, booties, for the shoes. Where were the darn footprints that this person had to have made if only in the effort to clean up what he/she/they could see? Too much effort to obscure what may have been meant to look really random and very senseless.

The killer hosed off the inside of the garage. He could have hosed off blood on his hands and shoes, ect.... Taken off bloody jacket or top shirt, leaving undershirt mostly clean. Then run home and stripped off rest, it's possible.

Yes, Colette, that is the darn problem; too many possibilities. I cannot wait to see, as mentioned before, what evidence the prosecution has. There definitely has to be more than what we (John Q. Public) are aware of and something cinching . . . I hope. I just hate the thought that their efforts, to communicate, may have been in vain. I hope that during the use of the knife that the killer(s) inadvertently cut him/herself and when washing away the blood got his/her blood mixed in. Or is that too much forensic files? ;)

I have to think if the evidence was concrete, such as you mention above Insideout (perp's blood mixed with victim's) we would have seen an arrest much sooner. I think this case is going to be more circumstantial in nature with the motive related to financial entanglements within the family. I do not think this was premeditated, but rather happened in the heat of the moment. Something occurred during that visit, perhaps a secret was discovered or maybe a plan was disrupted ...

Whew, I get so wrapped up in what we are shown (i.e. photos on AMW). Trying to piece together what may have occured from those pics is frustrating. Those blood drops outside would lead me to think that stabbing happened in the garage and was what first drew Mrs. J's attention. She came because she heard something that was just familiar enough that she did not approach the garage with any real concerns (may just a sound of some sort of loudness). Anyway, she comes to see and sees whomever standing near Mr. J and she turns and flees back up the stairs knocking over that basket at the top of the stairs and he/she/whomever grabs her just inside the doorway there and brings her back to the garage area only to see Mr. J (is he standing now? is that where the blood drops came from?) trying to leave. He hits him with whatever he has now picked up and drags him back into the garage where Mrs. J has started to write her message while killer(s) were occupied? OR, would Mr. J even try to leave (even though gravely wounded) unless he believed that Mrs. J was already gone?
Knox, I agree with you 100% that something happened that was pretty spontaneous during that encounter. There also appeared to me to be a degree of comfort involved. The killers with the victims, the victims with the killers, and with the overall situation, in general (location, time, etc.). Who, other than someone who is all ready assured, in some manner, that this could occur without drawing immediate attention? How long would a person have to "case" a place to receive this sort of reassurance? I have not a clue.

Snipped; Judge Richard Caretti this morning granted attorney Stephen Rabaut 60 more days to compile and review evidence -- including 50 hours of video-taped interviews -- in the case against Ronald F. Jabalee.

Rabaut said he is also awaiting more documents and forensics including information seized from computers at Jabalee's home and business.

Hi Colette :) ; I did not see DVD's specifically mentioned in the above article, but the 50 hours of interviews could be on DVD. Looks like alot more will be revealed in the next hearing in November. "both sides are expected to file motions". Trial can't happen soon enough, it will be over three years since the murders by the time this goes to court. I like the last statement by his attorney when asked how Ron is doing ... " his client is doing fine. He's going to work each day and operating a business". Since Ron Jr. has to submit to daily drug tests, bet he's not as fine as he was when he was able to take all those pain meds, lol.

:nono:Actually he IS REMARKABLY WELL........I will hope and pray that none of your family members are ever accused of something to this degree!! I dont much see that they would be given too much support seeing some of you have already handed out a guilty verdict. While some of you do you research and googling...Please take a moment and research the statistics of how many people per day, month, and year are convicted or accused of crimes they didnt commit!!
I hope you also are respectful and humble enough when all is said and done to post retractions and apologies!

Pardon the abrasiveness that is sure to be portrayed while I say this: if you are sensitive (and obviously too close to the situation), you shouldn't be reading these boards. Family/Friends are not encouraged to do so, as these are our own opinions and not "personal" as it is for you. Some members here HAVE been on your side - many. There are other forums for support, etc. We are entitled to our opinion, as are you....but perhaps this isn't the best place for you to be reading, as it seems you have a lot of emotion invested in this case. Again, what I've said is "My Opinion Only". Please don't lash out at us for your pain - we are all terribly sorry anyone would have to go through this, but we are seeking justice for the victims, and again, this isn't "personal".

P.S. - I would not apologize/retract any of my theories on any cases...in general. They are opinions I had at the time, are never "attacking" and further discussion.

P.P.S. - I've noticed many members going out of their way to reach out to you, even after you clearly misunderstand our reasons/purpose here, and still, you continue. Please be respectful, as we are trying to be to you. MOO.

Hi PushSomeMore. I appreciate that you posted to let us know he is doing remarkably well, thank you. I can say with all certainty that if my loved one were accused of a crime such as this, the last place I would be reading is here, as Truth Lies pointed out (and expressed so well) it would be far to personal. WS members did not indict and charge RJ, the DA in Macomb County did. We are discussing the case, some of the known facts and expressing our opinions on theory and motive. I would ask you to also do some research, how many murders in this country are committed by a family member? I personally welcome your posts, they provide opinions different from my own. But the shame, shame on you smiley, well ....

Hello Knox.... first let me state that the smiley was a NO-no smiley...i'm certainly not shaming anyone of you, and that was simply toward the "pain killer" comment!
But I understand that, as you do have a right to your opinion. Secondly, I have read this website as I find it human nature for all of us to seek justice in our country and put our heads together to find truth, missing children, and etc!
I would have NEVER posted on this particular case had it NOT BEEN OBVIOUSLY clear that a "magician" throw there very biased and bold faced lie out here to be read!
What you are all posting is opinions, so true and though some of it seems to be hurtful or hard for me to stomach, I appreciate the fact that you do not know of MR and MRS J but still have their case in your thoughts and are trying to seek justice for them..
However, when I read what was MORE THAN OBVIOUS a family/friend and one VERY close by stating untruths, it truly sickens me. What is so wrong with just stating the truth ? I truly feel that there is a post on here that is equivalent to "putting lipstick on a pig" and that particular person is NOT a regular on WS.....So, I hoped that I had not not offended anyone of you, and if I have or had, then I do apologize!
**so you all know, I was approached in a private mess. after my first post, by exactly the person whom I was directing my comment to. (IMO, if you believe in what your saying you dont hide behind closed doors)
no need for me to further post here, enjoy your community!!
God Bless!
