MILFORD, Mich. - A 25-year-old Milford man was charged Friday in connection with the death of his 6-month-old daughter.

Police were called at 10:07 p.m. Feb. 2 to a home on Hazy View Lane in Milford by a father who said his 6-month-old daughter was unresponsive and cold to the touch...

Brown told police he didn't know what happened, but that the baby had fallen asleep on a mattress on the floor.

Police said Brown appeared drunk and had a preliminary blood-alcohol level above .31...

Police charge Milford man in infant daughter’s death

A 25-year-old Milford man has been charged in the death of his 6-month-old daughter, officials said.

Keith Allen Brown, 25, was arraigned in the 52-1 District Court in Novi on a charge of involuntary manslaughter and second-degree child abuse, according to Milford Police. The manslaughter charge carries a penalty of up to 15 years in prison and the child abuse charge is punishable by up to 10 years.

A magistrate ordered Brown held on a $500,000 bond. Officials said he is currently being housed at the Oakland County Jail pending a pre-trial hearing. They said he also is being held for a previous probation violation on an alcohol conviction...

Father charged in death of six-month-old daughter

A 25-year-old Milford man has been charged in the death of his six-month-old daughter.

Keith Allen Brown was arraigned in 52-1 District Court in Novi on Friday following a two count warrant being authorized by the county prosecutors office on Monday.

The first count warrant was for Involuntary Manslaughter, a 15-year felony, with the second count warrant being Child Abuse Second Degree, a 10-year felony.

According to Milford Police Chief Tom Lindberg, Brown has a history of alcohol related offenses.

Allen is being held on $500,000 cash bond pending a pre-trial conference. He is also being held for a previous probation violation for a alcohol conviction...
