Identified! MI - Standish, human remains behind store, Sept '13 - Name withheld

Authorities didn't state exactly when the remains were found...

The sheriff's department said the initial remains were found behind the Family Fare Grocery Store in Standish. Law enforcement conducted a thorough search of the wooded area and found the rest of the human remains

“We have not made an ID and we’re not sure of the time frame (of how long the remains were there)," the undersheriff said, adding authorities are in the preliminary stages of the investigation.

Mosciski said investigators believe the remains were in the woods for at least two years. He said the area where the skeleton was found is being treated as a crime scene, and items found near the scene will be investigated further.

I don't see any missing persons listed as missing from Standish Michigan.
