Tirany Savage sought a court protection order from her husband two weeks before she, her son and her mother, were found dead in their home. Police said the body of her husband, Bo Savage, was also found in an apparent murder-suicide.

In some places, that protection order allows a woman & her children to move into a secure facility as she transitions away from an abuser.

That judge denied Ms. Savage & her family that safety.
