There is an unidentified female in an auto/pedestrian accident in El Paso, Texas on October 28 or 29th, 1979. It is very briefly mentioned in the El Paso Newspaper, with very little information (Oct. 31st, 1979). The article just mentions summaries of events in the past three or four days. She is either Hispanic, Native American or Asian. I could be wrong, but I thought of this case with Terry R. who said the mother of the middle child was killed in Texas in an auto/pedestrian accident. Was he telling the truth? 1979 is on the lower end of the middle child's age. There is very little information on the unidentified Jane Doe. Was Terry R in Michigan? I do not know how to submit to Namus, but what do experienced researchers write? Even if she isn't the mother could she be the Jane Doe?

Has anyone considered known serial killer Denis Bowman in her disappearance?

Dennis Bowman is a serial Killer who lived in the Holland, Michigan area in that time frame. There is a recent chronological summary of him posted in the Serial Killer thread on him.

He is currently serving life sentences for two heinous murders.

Hello everyone, we are the family members of Maria. I am the wife of her son. This is what we have been told. she is originally from Rio Bravo Mexico. she was born around 1956. she had her son in November of 1975. Salvador Gerardo Navarro Venegas now goes by Jerry Navarro. He was born in Rio bravo and came with Trini right after he was born to Holland Michigan where she lived with her sister and brother in law Nicolasa Stegenga and Lloyd Stegenga (deceased). she worked at a factory there in holland i believe the Pepsi or Squirt one cant remember. the story is that she left one day and never came back there is alot of shady things surrounding this. her cousin stated that she saw her getting into a station wagon one day and she was baby sitting Jerry at that time. No one reported her missing. jerry was only around 3 or 4 at the time from what he remembers. His aunt doesnt talk about it and no one really knows what happened. to me its odd that no one would file a missing person report. we have a social but that pulls up nothing and Im wondering if it is even true. the police in holland told jerry that they wanted to do a search of the back yard of her sisters home and basement but we havent heard anything yet. they may suspect the brother in law was involved or knew something but he took that to the grave. The story goes that apparently around the same time a lady that was known by him and nicolasa went missing too and her apartment was in tacked and her bank acccount still has money in it.
