Well, they've got him now! They just need to find whomever was stupid enough to put a hoodie and haterblockers on on an 81 degree day and go to Doug's lawyer's office to pay his bill.

Still thinking about this...Sunday's alibi could have been the trip to Busch Gardens.

On the Search Warrant:

Busch Gardens 2-Year 2-Park Pass

Investigators took ONE pass. ONE. They took one pass because there was only one to take. Doug bought the pass for himself. Venus did not have a pass. They moved to Newport News last August, if I remember correctly. The date on the video is August, IIRC. The video showed them at Busch Gardens in August, IIRC. So it would have been stupid to buy a two-year pass at the end of the season, when they could wait till spring/summer 2010 to buy two passes.

And if there would have been two passes, investigators would have taken two passes. But they only took one, because there only was one to take.

When Venus left Newport News, I really doubt that she took the park pass with her. She didn't leave with intentions of returning to NN. She left with intentions to never return to NN. She left because she believed her daughter had been molested.

So here's how Doug did it.

Doug went online and bought the 2-year pass. Then Douginator went to the park to pick up the pass, visit the park, and establish the alibi. Douginator presented Doug's credit card, was photographed and his hand was scanned, and as far as Busch Gardens was concerned, Doug Stewart was the guy on their pass with the hand scan in their system.

Just checked Busch Gardens. You can pay by the month for a two-year pass. So, for $9.61 (one month payment), Doug got his Sunday alibi.

They considered some guy in disguise as a "solid and true alibi" in the first place? In the other article, they said the alibi was for Sun and Mon both. So what was Sundays alibi? Was it equally lame? Some guy in Groucho glasses and mustache at the local Stop N Shop?

Doug's MI lawyer tells MSP that Doug's alibi is his lawyer in Newport News.

MSP calls NN lawyer who says, "Yeah, he was here. He paid his bill on Monday. The credit card transaction shows he was here at 10:30 AM and paid his bill with his Visa."

That's a solid alibi, until...

MSP calls lawyer back. Lawyer talks to receptionist. "Yeah, he paid his bill. Funny, though, that he was wearing a hoodie."

MSP talks to receptionist while they're there doing more work on the truck (they were supposed to be back in VA last week sometime, I believe). Receptionist says, "You know, I thought it was strange...he looked like the unibomber that day he paid his bill."

Alibi blown to smithereens.

These guys always think they are smarter than everyone else and can pull the wool over the eyes of guys who, for a living catch bad guys.

There is 'no crime school' and these guys ALWAYS make a mistake.

You know what the first mistake was? The victim disappeared. IF this had been committed by a person that had no connection to the victim, she would have been found by now.

Some people still take the old saying, 'no body, no crime,' literally. But it doesn't hold up as true in this day and age. There have been a NUMBER of cases tried without a body. LE just needs to prove to a reasonable jury, that the victim is in fact deceased. There's a number of ways that can be acheived.

Hopefully, they'll find Venus and put an end to this charade.

I never saw anyone but reporters use the word 'solid' in regards to the alibi. I don't remember anyone using the word 'true'.

So sad, I think he killed her and he will go to prison. So, he took both parents from his girls. I'll never understand "parents" that do that. How do you put rage and revenge before your children?

If you purchase a 1 year pass your pass is valid 12 months from the date of purchase on regular operating days. If you purchase a 2 year pass your pass is valid 24 months from the date of purchase on regular operating days. (Excluding Fun Card & Water Country Summer Sizzler)

Does my Pass lose value if I don’t purchase until summer or fall?
Not any more. Passes are now valid for exactly one or two years from the date of purchase on regular operating days, depending on which pass you buy. So if you buy a one-year pass to Busch Gardens in July 2009, you can enjoy the park for the rest of 2009 and until July 2010 on regular operating days.

IOW, there's no 'season'.

But, c'mon... who buys multi-year passes at the end of summer. The park is only open on weekends after summer. And it gets really cold and often snowy in the winter. I don't buy my fishing license until March, because I know that'll give me all summer to fish. Same with a park pass... I'd wait to buy it at the beginning of the next season so that I'd have two full summer seasons on it. Instead of two off seasons and one summer.

When they went to Busch Gardens in the videos, it was obviously their first trip there--you can tell because of several remarks made during the videos. So they tried it, liked it, and may have planned on buying season tickets the following summer, but I'm pretty sure that they wouldn't buy expensive two-year tickets until the visited the park.

As for the photo ID, what kind? There are dozens of different kinds of photo IDs that would be legit enough to get into a park. And you can get a very realistic fake ID, if you want to pay the right amount of money for one.
