No, I don't know them personally. But I am very resourceful and have seen pictures of her side of the family including extended family, and one of them looks like the Wetman, and another one looks just like Doug, incredibly enough.

But let me add the usual disclaimer by saying I am not "accusing" them of impersonating Doug. lol

Then what is it exactly that you think Venus' family members have done that's related to this case?

I agree. Let me tell you what I think happened. The truck started its route after the kidnapping back to Virginia and Doug wasn't behind the wheel. Doug was in Virginia paying his bills. The truck driver was an imposter from Michigan framing Doug.

I say that because the truck wound up being parked two blocks away from Doug's residence. Whoever drove the truck wasn't sure where Doug even lived. The reason it was parked there was to ensure Doug wouldn't clean the truck out, so the receipt could be found in the front seat. Total setup.

Oh yeah, and the car was parked there, too. Blocks away from the reserved parking spots inside Doug's parking garage.

So how did Doug get to work or go pay his bills, with both the car and truck gone. And why didn't he report them stolen when he came in from work--or at ANY TIME?

Why would you purposely direct someone to go where there are cameras, since if it's not you, there's now photographic evidence that proves you have no alibi?

*trying to think like a criminal*

If it were me, I'd tell them to go to a local restaurant, wearing my "Hi, I'm Doug" workshirt, sign the check very plainly DOUG STEWART, maybe have a few friends come in and yell, "HEY DOUG! WAZZUP!!!!"

Stuff like that. Maybe get a grainy shot from a distance by a security camera. But tool all over town striking a pose for every possible camera around? Noooooooooo.

Well if the bank needed a photo ID, how could anyone but Doug use the bank's services?

If Doug gave the Douginator his ID, either the original or a fake ID, or hmmmm... ever read about Casey Anthony's check fraud escapades?

From her link:

However, police say that for up to 48 hours prior to that time at least one person, possibly more, was traveling around Newport News, Virginia claiming to be Douglas Stewart.

Ok, he snatches her between 7:30 and 8:30 am. It's at least a 12 hour drive back to NN (over 750 miles, per mapquest), and through NoVA traffic that he would have hit right at the peak of rush hour going away from DC---ever tried to get through that mess??? It's nothing to take 2 hours or more to get from Woodbridge to Fredericksburg... trust me, I know :( ... then into the Richmond/Norfolk/NN traffic? But he's at home, 12 hours after her disappearance. And when does he stop to pee, eat, nevermind do *whatever* to Venus.

Sorry MSP. Don't see that happening.

Oh my gosh do I EVER know that traffic. I usually have to reserve an extra 4 hours for travel between my two homes because of that traffic -- even at 3 am!!

Anyways, I'm posting to say that I have traveled from VA (specifically, the Richmond area) to Ohio before, and I did not go through DC at all. I took more of a north-west route as opposed to north and then west.

Anything is possible.

So, is MSP framing DS? By stating clearly that it was not DS in NN, VA because he was in MI.....it was not DS, they are saying. It was one or more Douginators.

They will be in a world of hurt to go this far out on a limb and be wrong.

To me, of course I might be reading in be tween the lines, they (MSP) are saying DS' alibi has been cracked. Firmly cracked. Now cracking his alibi does not make him the lone suspect of course unless there is more that puts him outside the home on the day of the abduction.

So I guess we will see if something along those lines comes out next.

Yet Doug never reported the truck stolen. Fancy that.

Maybe Venus had the truck. Doug has never given his side of the story yet.

remember when a talking head on NG jokingly said they also found a copy of Murder for Dummies in nhis truck. This was after the police found the receipt for the murder kit purchased in Ohio. Jeez!!!!

Who do you suggest had access to the truck for two days without him noticing it was gone? Even if the truck was in VS's name, he'd notice it was gone...

I have too (well, VA to MI---and NO, not last month!!!!). Anywho, the fastest route even with the traffic is through there, but ya gotta hit it at the right time lol.

Maybe Venus had the truck. Doug has never given his side of the story yet.

If Venus had the truck it seems like a really bad idea for it to be driven back to Virginia. If Venus had the truck, why would LE look for it in VA? AND find it there? Because, like I said at first, why would anyone drive it to VA if Venus was supposed to have it?

Excellent point and one that concerns me too. See, someone had Venus make out a will right before she disappeared. And if someone in the family wanted Venus out of the picture, the best way to do it would be to pin it on the husband, right?

Even you can agree to that, no? I say that from a purely hypothetical sense, so I am not construed as to be "blaming" anyone.

One or more Douginators. LOL
I think Rod Serling might be filming somewhere nearby.

IMO, all they have is him on video in Ohio. Or a douginator. Either way.

He has witnesses that place him in NN on Monday. They have A witness that places him in Michigan on Monday. He said/she said right now, as far as his whereabouts on monday.

LINK? Who "made her" do this? Everywhere she went, she told people that she was deathly afraid of him. So who "made her" do this? I'd love to see your proof for that statement.

Hypotheses usually have some supporting evidence. You've posted none for the things you've said on these threads.

FWIW - I can go to through the drive-thru at my bank and withdraw from my savings account. I have preprinted withdrawal slips that I sign ahead and say, for instance, I withdraw $500 from savings, put $300 in checking and take $200 in cash. If this is standard procedure for me, they aren't going to ask for ID and besides, they'd probably recognize my car. Now if I went to a branch of my bank that I don't normally go to, they'd ask for ID because the wouldn't know this is standard procedure for me. Just something to think about.

ATM + PIN = video alibi and cash.

But I thought he was paying a bill? Maybe he drove right up to the teller? LE checked his bank records.. they saw there was a payment made at the drive thru and saw him on video?
