It does say the imposter matches his general physical description, but also the people the imposter encountered didn't know DS ~ at least those in the attorney's office.

The truck and the car were both parked two blocks away from the apartment building when they were found. Two days after Venus was abducted. Yet Doug didn't report either missing and refused to tell LE where they were.

Go figure.

Another thing. Doug gave police his alibi (through his lawyer). MSP have checked that alibi and have found that it wasn't Doug, but someone impersonating Doug.

I believe that reports had a NN detective finding the truck a few blocks away on the Wednesday. They didn't say where the car was, but it apparently wasn't with the truck. The implication was that they didn't need to look for the car, so it was probably in the parking lot. The warrant for the car was requested and issued 5 days after the one for the truck, so they apparently had no initial interest in the car in spite of what the media has reported.

One more point, they haven't proven that it was someone impersonating DS, they suspect it was based on evidence they have which they believe places him in Michigan.

I don't have much background info on this part of the case, so I'm going to ask a question.

Had Doug himself been to BG before and used the finger-scanner so that they would already have his prints on record?

Is it possible that the tickets had been purchased, but that he had not gone to the park to use them yet?

I'm asking, because if he hadn't been there before, any old fool could walk in there with his Doug's ID (all you have to do is semi-resemble the person! Some ID pics are old! Same hair color will usually do) and claim to be Doug.

If he had been to BG before to have his prints on record, I guess this angle is pointless to look at.

I work at Kohl's where you can pay your charge card bill by mailing it or at any register in the store. It's happened more than once that I've had a customer say, "I usually mail this, but I was coming to the store anyway so I'll just leave it with you."

I don't recognize those customers. I don't usually see them. Yet, nothing is suspicious about this, either.

Could a similar situation have been in place for any of Doug's bills? Just wondering.

We have talked about "the" video at Wal-Mart. I'm willing to bet there are SEVERAL videos from Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart has a TON of cameras in the parking lot, throughout the store, at the registers, at the doors...
So, I bet he was on video getting out of the truck, walking into the door, selecting his items, checking out and paying for the items, walking out the door, and getting back into the truck.
That's a lot of video IMO.

Great point Eyes, but I bet there would be video there too.
I'm not quite sure how BG is gonna come into play in all of this.
