That's shameful. This is America, and our children get contaminated water in their schools? We can do better than that. I wonder how many people are suffering from lead poisoning and go untreated?

Dear BetteDavisEyes,

Thank you so much for posting this information.

This needs to be on the front page of every newspaper and the top news story on the news television networks.

This is unbelievable. My heart breaks at this.

I cannot for the life of me understand why this is happening in Detroit. Or anywhere in America. I just don't understand.

Good Lord....No child should go without clean safe water. Ever. This is sad

they are not going without it, they are being supplied with safe bottled water,

so the only difference is they are drinking from a bottle instead of a fountain, which in my opinion is more convenient anyway,

I read that. I am not a fan of fountains either. My statement was more "global" and in general.

New test results for 52 Detroit Public School Community District were released Wednesday in an email to staff...

Bottled water doesn't solve the problem of these children using contaminated water to wash their hands.

These children are washing their hands with "tainted water from lead, copper" !

And how many times a day are they washing their hands with this contaminated water?
