If the murder weapon is something from the bedroom, even a flashlight, I hope that either Meredith was aware of it being in the bedroom or of all the pictures, tapes, dvds, camcorders, and computer stored images - it shows up in some photograph and was determined to be missing after the murder.

Don't get me wrong, at some point this became premeditated, no argument from me - what I am hoping for is that it is something brought into the house, not something from the bedroom - I don't want any juror to say aw gee they got into a fight and he flipped - I want no mitigating circumstances - whoever did it deserves to fry IMO. No mercy - just like this perp showed no mercy for Michelle and her children.
I know and I don't want it to come to that either, if and when Jason goes to trial. Since he was supposed to be away out of state on a business trip to begin with, it'd be a stretch to believe he returned to the house just for an argument with her that got out of control. But you never know who will be on the jury, that's for sure.

we live in a "safe" neighborhood, with no security system, but still have a "weapon" in the bedroom- I agree with you about the gun, but many people dont if they have children in the house-
One of the young ladies that works for us - she told me she has a small hand axe for protection ! That'll work ! Funny what people keep for weapons - as long as it works - its all good.

I'm going to have to re-think the gun or at least how it is stored with the little one coming, thats for sure.

I can't see Michelle having anything in the house which could harm Cassidy unless it was some place the little girl couldn't get to. But something like the flashlight could've been there~ wish we knew.

Dimensions for a 3 D-Cell MagLite:

snipped for space

This are probably the most common - there are others if you need more dimensions
Thank you muchly RC.

Interesting nite! I have just spent the entire time reading at CTV., just as I did last nite. As a result I have a very stiff neck - seriously! As I was sitting reading with a hot pack around my neck my dh walked in - took one look and said "maybe you should take a break?" LOL

Anyways, very interesting nite over there. Now I've bookmarked Scout's Blog - oh goodie - more to read!

Interesting tidbits about swallowing the ring  and making an appearance at their shower with his gym shorts on hey? Couldn't help but notice the mention of him being on his computer the whole time either! I wonder which forum he was on.

Post of the nite went to LuckyL saying that she's now thinking that JY ate the jewellry so that he'd get it back later and then saying that what he did really took the cake or muffin!! lol I was nearly on the floor laughing - and yes my family is really worried about me! haha. I think she's serious & could have a point but it just struck me as being really funny!

RC good point about Meredith's voice mail and where she'd be. That shoots their theory about her sitting on the couch.

Lastly, I have to say I was sort of hoping that the GAF would have had something to offer LE about JY or M&Js relationship but I see up to the funeral she was supportive of JY. So, don't think much is going to come out of her. Rumor is JY left around 4pm so she probably wouldn't even have been there at the house.

Oh well, goonite all!

Scandi and or Sami,

Scandi I note you are thinking, as you have been for a while, that JY had a few drinks before he returned to the home. Couple of questions to think about, according to RPD the only tox test done was for alcohol, supposedly negative and definitely not noted in the AR, why would the toxicology be limited to alcohol only?

Would it (the tox screen) be limited based on what was found in the home ? For instance a bottle of something open in the kitchen area, glasses in the sink containing a left over alcoholic beverage or something along that line ?

Why would they also not run toxicology for drugs and other substances ? If true alcohol was run, then the pregnancy excuse for not doing a drug scan as well doesn't fly, at least with me. As you can tell I am not swallowing either story, that the only tox done was alcohol or, that the AR published is all there is.

For instance, what if there is a glass, or glasses, in the sink containing left over or trace alcoholic beverage and the GA friend told LE that neither her or Michelle had any such beverage - would the tox screen then just to be a verification of that statement ? To my way of thinking, something is not adding up -

Does anyone else think this or have any ideas?

In looking at the many people voting for a Mag Light, I was also wondering what else could leave that kind of mark also. What about a bar from a weight set. Without the weights, obviously. They usually have those markings for better grip. The short ones for arm work would fit the bill.

Just another thought. Of course, LE would know if there was a weight set in the house.

i just don't know....i keep switching around my thoughts on the murder weapon....if they've already found it; if they haven't; if they ever will????....

i just have no idea if JY was drinking or not that night....i guess i'm confused....i don't see how that would have anything to do w/the murder ??...i mean, sure he might have had something to drink, but he might have had a burger & chips too....i'm lost on this question, sorry...

i do however think that the AR is complete, but as much as i hate to agree w/RPD (lol) it makes sense that other tests results have not been released, such as tests done on MY's body at the crime scene....i could be wrong, but don't they have folks to take the temp & all that of the victim AT the crime scene???...these could be totally seperate from the 'official' AR couldn't they?

i would be...but it's for sure very possible...if he left at 4 pm, this would make me think the drive was farther away than just over the VA line...anyway, if he made an 11 pm phone call & then headed back to the home, that could put him back at the house as late as 4 am, WHICH would put me back to Polk's original line of thought; that the murder happened much later than i had thought to begin with....my thinking is that JY got to the house betw 1-3 am, THEN i got to thinking that it happened much earlier than that; maybe midnight'ish, BUT ....again Polk may have been right all along with the 4 am to 6 am timeframe......

ugh, since we have no REAL facts/info on this timeframe, one could make just about any kind of scenario 'fit'......if we don't hear anything new (official) next week, i'm going to pull my hair out :banghead:

I'm not concerned with JY drinking - I am wanting to know why the ME felt it necessary supposedly to run an alcohol tox and nothing else on Michelle - looking for input as to why.

I am thinking that each locale may have their own rules concerning ARs. Since you have followed more cases - how many ARs have you seen released to the public free of charge and the media has provided links to for public review? How many locales actually allow for non-related parties to view autopsy photos ? Obviously rules vary - take another look at the Vitale autopsy - the two are like night and day.

I think the AR is "complete" - but what has been publically released is not all of it by any means IMO. So is it complete - the pathologist signed off - so yes it is "complete" but have we seen all of it - IMO absolutely not (nor do I care to see the rest of it).

I'm up in the air about the 11 pm call - there are only two people that could confirm that (outside of LE) -and one of them is dead.

good point!!!...different rules relating to AR's from state to state...i hadn't thought of that...yesterday was the first time i had looked at Pam Vitale's AR...saved the link that Hawthorne posted, & only looked at it briefly...will definately get back to looking at it though......i'm trying to remember another AR that i've seen...i know there's one, but hmmmm, it was Kathleen Peterson's!!........

i tell ya something i read though that REALLY shook me for days & that was a report by the investigators that went through the Groene home up in Idaho....step by step this report took you through the house...where the bodies were laying, every single detail of the blood all over the house, broken glass, shell casings, things that were laying beside the bodies....the report went on & on through the house...never saw an AR now that i think about it though.....would be a very grisly (sp?) looking diagram, i'm sure ...

not sure why alcohol was the only test run on Michelle though....Kathleen Peterson's went as far as listing the exact amounts of valium??? or was it xanax??? in her system, (which wasn't much) along with alcohol.....i would think that testing for drugs would just be a routine part of such testing....hmmm, i don't know
