Hi Panthera, This is how we found out:

ETA: CC's post @ CTV was at 6:59pm on Nov 15th
JTF's post @ Misfits was at 11pm on Nov 15th

From an insiders post, well 2 insiders postings made the same day and within 4 hours of each other! Speaks of an agenda to me, so maybe they just wanted us to think he called home. Fact is we really don't know if this is true at all, right? I have never read it in a certified link.

I think Amanda just mentioned the fingerprint dust like Charlie said and that LE had removed some sheetrock from the home.

Now about what happened when he came back that night. We learned so many interesting things last night from RaleighResident. He lives within view of their house I believe, and is a very ecclectic sort of guy with lots of personality. I believe him. He knows alot about what happened from either talking to people in the know or that did work in the house afterwards, I don't know. But what he says bears discussion I think.

The one thing he stated that made my eyes turn big was that Michelle was downstairs waiting for him to return. That would be from the 11pm call and might be why she was wearing that hoodie to go downstairs. She was expecting his return. RR alluded to the fact there was a missed swing thatended up hitting the wall and making an impression and it was from the weapon. I believe that. And he also said that the sheetrock that was removed was in the Foyer and not from upstairs. I always thought photos would be what they would want for study of the blood spatter and there would be no need to remove sheetrock for that!

This is one reason I think he had been drinking. He evidently took a wild swing. If he was planning to hurt her and was sober, he would have nailed that blow. Also about the drinking. I think he had time waiting around to come back after GA left and may have needed to fortify himself mentally for going back and either talking to her or killing her.

That leads to why he had the weapon in his hand when he was down in the Foyer with her. I think he came in from the garage door that opened into the Foyer {from how I interpret the floor plan we talked about here}. He could have picked up the Maglight and slipped off his shoes there in the garage {if they did remove shoes before entering the home which is very possible}. I still haven't figured out why he had this in his hands at that point, but it well could be he did plan to kill her, depending on something she could have said on the phone to him when he called her at 11pm.

So after the wild swing Michelle ran straight up those stairs to the safety of her bedroom and I think he caught up with her and he threw her onto the bed and held her down with his left hand. They struggled and she broke his hand free and so he nailed her in the mouth with the weapon.

The angles of the blows will tell so much. But I do think after that first belt to the mouth her arms went up so her hands could shield her face. It had already been hit which caused the blood in the bed. I think she tried to escape and get out of bed and fell in a real twisted angle with her hands still up and there on the floor he started to hit the back of her head. I haven't worked out all the sequence of blows yet.

One more thing. In the post RR lost over at CTV he said something like 'accidental disc_____' which I'm wondering was the word discharge. I'm thinking Michelles water broke in the foree.

Hola Scandi...should have snipped but in reference to 'accidental disch....' RR was referreing to a time when he had accidentally discharged a firearm in his own home and noted the story because it was VERY loud and his child did not wake up..he did alarm his missus and caught a bit of grief over it, lol...I like RR and the above explains that whole discharge mystery...dunno why CTV edits the word discharge but they do. All the best!

I hadn't thought much about the possibility that this horrendous crime had started downstairs, because it was more probable that Michelle had already gone to bed. Another thing that is odd here is that she was five months pregnant and how could she have run upstairs to flee her attacker unless she had somehow disabled him in the foyer and gotten a head start? As for him having been drinking, that would apply more to his state of mind and how alcohol affects him. I'm still thinking it's more likely this took place upstairs while Michelle was in bed, therefore the attempted stangulation.

Thanks, scandi, but I'd thought it had been mentioned on Greta's show or one of them covering the case shortly after Michelle's murder, in addition to the "local" posters. I would also think there'd be a way of tracing such a call since it'd be unlikely Jason would be using a pay phone if it weren't a local call.

That's what I remembered also. Glad to know I wasn't imagining that either!

I agree with you about the locations for the "meeting" being inconsistent with stopping for gas in Duffield and I still can't grasp exactly where he was supposed to be headed to. About the foyer area, I remember her report about the fingerprint dust and believe the sheetrock came from the bedroom where the crime occurred.
This is also what I recall - sheetrock from upstairs, not from the foyer.

Nope, the only thing the THs have ever said about timing is 1030 when the friend supposedly left. No phone calls confirmed.

I'll go look in the links to see if I can find Amanda's statement. I didn't think she specified where the sheetrock was cut from.

How funny, as though it really matters. Well, I guess it does matter, as for one thing if the sheetrock came from the foyer it would mean they were downstairs and he had a weapon at the time to make a mark. If it were taken from the upstairs it would be blood spatter as the SE mentioned that. Maybe a difference in premeditation between the two sites.

If there was a mark from a weapon in sheetrock, wouldn't that have been mentioned in the SW? Hmmmmmmm I think RR got a lot of his info from the mailman, or maybe mailgal. LOL LOL :slap:

Scandi,

As I recall it was a video report that Amanda did with GVS - I'll hunt around for it. I suspect that in the returns for the 5108 search warrant - all of this is mentioned - we have a very short list of the inventory collected there. I honestly do not expect we will see a return of the full warrant until any and all data obtained is returned to LE, checked, double checked and so on. If there has been no return - the good news is, the lawyer doesn't know anymore than we do ! Will see if I can find Ms. Lamb's report for you.

I don't remember her saying what part of the house it came from either, just that the crime scene is up in the master bedroom, so it would make sense that it came from there. I've just not heard anything before about it originating downstairs in the foyer, since as I posted earlier, I can't see a five month pregnant woman running upstairs to elude a weapon wielding Jason pursuing her ~ she wouldn't have been able to out-run him, unless she'd hit or hurt him somehow.

I don't remember her saying anything about where the sheetrock was taken from either, but some had taken her comment as meaning near the entrance door because I remember having to answer a question about why it would have been taken from that area..

Thanks Charlie, Sami and Panthera LOL

I just checked and couldn't find it anywhere.

What I did learn though is that our links thread is in bad shape! The link about Amanda's trip to Bravard and where is JY is not it. Something different nhow. I have run into several others too that don't have the article anymore. To keep that up to date would mean each poster correcting their own link postings.

Scandi

First the WRAL updated link: http://www.wral.com/news/local/story_gallery/1065978/

Note this link is in post 31 of the links thread. All the articles are there as far as I can tell.

Second, I went hunting through GVS' manuscripts and cannot find this conversation with Ms. Lamb , in fact cannot actually find very much about this case period on GVS' links. I gave up and emailed Ms. Lamb. Will see what she responds with, will advise as soon as I hear something. I understand she does respond so...we'll see. I did not see this particular interview on the WRAL link either.

Thanks Charlie. I thought it was a spot from Greta's show now that I think about it. I remember her standing by the front door.

Thanks Domanique!

I have a couple of Greta's videos on my computer, I'll have a look :)
