I don't know which link has the SW's that aren't deleted, so I'm going to ask if one of you know how the verbage read in referance to the seapon. It was _________ and other items . . . It was strange wording I thought and a reason for it. Hey Paula thinks they have that weapon, but I don't figure that yet. I know these items listed in the first paragraph were things to look for and not things they had found.

Merci
Scandi,

Have been studying on this a bit. Just my interpretation of this but the warrant issued to the home on 11/3 included the words instruments and items. This warrant was issued at 3:21 pm. The search warrant for the Suv uses weapons and/or blunt objects and was issued on 11/4 at 3:15 am - roughly 12 hours difference and written by two different individuals.

During that 12 hours it is most likly safe to assume the ME was on the scene and that several observations were made. Given the short duration of time between the warrants, I think it is also safe to assume the cause of death was pretty well theorized but not necessarily confirmed.

One can think that perhaps items at the scene were looked at to include or exclude from the possible list of instruments used during the commission of the crime. One can then look at the search warrant for the SUV and see that instruments are now defined as weapons and/or blunt objects, keeping in mind two different people have filed for the warrants.

On face value there are two assumptions that could be made about this; one since the search for blunt objects is requested in the SUV warrant - the instrument was not recovered at the home or the ME believed there was more than one instrument used and it was not found in the home; the second assumption is that out of an abundance of caution because of what little data the officers have, the search for a weapon in the SUV required continuance. Of course the inventory sheets for both warrants are obviously not the total of evidence collected either from the home or from the SUV - I'm not sure how one would conclude from the data we have in our hands that LE has the murder weapon in their possession.

A knife was recovered from the SUV but I have doubts that a Cold Steel lock blade knife is sufficient to cause the trauma outlined in the AR. The only possible instruments shown on the home warrant would be wedding photos. Of course the possibility exists that a complete inventory from the SUV was not filed as evidence was recovered and is present in additional inventory sheets. Same with the inventory sheets from the house. Again I'm not seeing anything that makes me believe that LE has indeed recoverd a murder weapon. But my thinking can sometimes be restricted as well. So, based on what information we have, I cannot make the leap to thinking that LE has the weapon(s). JMO but then again, I think there is more than one weapon after reading the AR.

OMG RC,

You just made me remember something.

I have a 8X10 photo that is in an acrylic frame. (In our BR)
Sandwiched, if you will. But the piece that makes it stand up is 10 inches x 2 inches. (I measured, just now) It has a groove that you insert the other two acrylic plates into, to make it stand up.

That thing would definitely knock a knot on someone's head.

Plus it falls apart if you breathe on it.

Very portable too, hmm.

Cheers!

Many many possibilities aren't there ? Wish we had more clues...maybe soon.

Me too Sweetie,

Thing of it is tho, maybe with the wedding photos being taken away...might make sense?

This non-functioning, heavey-weight monster that I have in my lap right now, I promise could kill someone.

I have been looking, but I haven't found a pic yet. (I love it... for ONCE I didn't peel the label off)

Anyway it says, "Peter Alan Designs Inc". Came for free to this house, because it had our wedding photo in it.

Maybe the dude is out of business, I don't know.

But I swear, in the right hand, this could have done Michelle in.

Say a Prayer, but QUICK!

I hated typing that.

Nite.

XOXO

After seeing the subject discussed so much in the last few weeks I'll state that it is my opinion they don't have the weapon but know what it is. On that note let me just say that I'm sure there was a statement to this effect from LE at one point and of course they may actually have it now. I didn't bring it up before because I thought someone here would remember and that's a lot of research to go back to find that point. It was a big issue we discussed but I think we finally got our answer and it would be in a thread here I think, just don't know how far back. I could be wrong but that's my belief.

Are you listening Sami - the one minute mark ?

For some reason "and coming up next" doesn't sound like a line from the Lion King - someone ate too many jelly beans ?

Darn, she ate all the red ones!

"and coming up next" doesn't appear to be on the recording. All I hear is background noise from the dispatchers office. I did manage to pick up the word "pregnant" after Meredith states "Yes, I'm with her daughter, and she's (pregnant)"

That certainly negates JTF's accusation that Meredith didn't bother to tell 911 that Michelle was pregnant, lol.

I'm confused. Did the coroner's office meet with the media and allow them to view the photos?

They were first printed last Monday , per ME office. That is why I had to wait until Tuesday for my appointment.

I did e-mail Amanda Saturday to point out I saw the photos and gave her the reason. I am glad she did the same thing today, so she has a better idea of what happened and will continue to press this very sad story

Nanandjim,

Apparently this is an approved procedure in North Carolina. The public in general is allowed to view the photographs via appointment but are not allowed to copy them. I believe IIRC the link holding this information also indicates that NC restricts copying of the photos to LE and Academia for teaching purposes. The link to this is somewhere here but I can't remember where.

I read RPD (Barney's) blog about the autopsy findings. It is just about inconceivable to me that someone could beat a pregnant woman to death in this fashion. It seems like it took an incredible amount of strength, energy and rage to overkill Michelle in this fashion. Do you think the killer was enraged that Michelle wouldn't die and that she fought back? Sorry, but I believe that it is Jason's doing. I'd like to say that I hope that the killer is haunted by his actions. However, I'm not so sure that anyone capable of this type of overkill has a conscience.

ETA: I can't reconcile Jason hiring someone to kill Michelle for him. This murder seems way too personal.

I think this is what happened also. Michelle fought back after the attempted strangulation which enraged her killer further. And back to the "no signs of forced entry" it does seem that Jason is the one who did it. Sociopaths don't have a conscience.

I'm with you on this one Nanandjim! I think there is little doubt that the killer became angrier if Michelle fought back and the result sadly is now reported in 14 pages of notes and drawings.

I have not jumped on the conspiracy theory either, but I do think JY is the murderer and I do think he is more than capable of it in a physical and mental sense.
