Do you think that they will find anything incriminating on the disk or do you think that they are just continuing to apply the pressure to Jason? It's more than obvious they think that Jason murdered his wife and are trying to build a case. Jason knows this, too. He committed this crime, IMO. I just hope that they can build a strong enough circumstantial case to convict him. What a loser. I would love to see this trial televised when and if it makes it that far.

I hope they can make the case and lock him up before he has another mental break and does himself in - I want no easy way out for this coward. JMO

At this point in time I don't think too much would surprise me. IMO this fellow killed his wife, took Cassidy's mother from her, he placed a horror that will never be overcome in Meredith's life, devastated Linda Fisher by taking all that is left of Michelle away and refused to allow her to see Cassidy, ran home to Mom and is now ruining her life and financially destroying her as well. What a charm this fellow is.

One thing is certain - something was out of wack before this marriage occured, you may be right - there may be another accident in the wings. This is really becoming incredibly twisted. They need to arrest him now before he finds his guts and jumps off a cliff. JMO

On a more somber note, I did read over your blog. What a horrible ordeal for you to go through. What a compassionate soul you are to put yourself through this to help shed the stark truth of MY's injuries for others removed from the case by distance, to bring more understanding of the viciousness of this crime, and for just sharing your experience with such considerate words.

You, kind sir, are an asset to any internet community you frequent.

I believe you're correct, the strangulation probably was before the beating. As I've heard it can take minutes before someone is actually dead by strangulation, the perpetrator of this henious attack probably got impatient and probably grabbed the nearest thing to them to use as a weapon for the beating. A flashlight perhaps? (as I've seen it suggested)

IMHO, the strangulation part makes it a 'personal attack,' and the viciousness of the physical injuries emphasizes the 'rage and hatred.'

Good grief! That poor mother and child, being taken so brutally. This makes me feel physically ill.

The Young family didn't find a whole tooth - they found a part of a tooth. Several speculations about the order of events but have seen nothing official as whether the strangulation was first or last or anything else. Up to your imagination at this point.

My own view is the hair on Michelle's hand - if it belonged to Jy - would not necessarily lead to an immediate arrest for one reason - JY lived in the house so therefore it would be highly possible the hair should be there - not necessarily in her hand but the AR seems to indicate it was laying on her hand. A defense lawyer could make many overtures about that and someone just might believe it. So no I do not believe the hair alone would be reason to arrest JY

Thanks for your reply. You're selling yourself short, my friend, , as I've now had time to read this entire thread and it looks like there's much new information that I wasn't aware of.

I do agree with you about the hair. But me thinks LE has much more than a little hair. The hair, IF it's JY's will be one of many pieces of circumstantial evidence to put this perp on trial. Just ONE piece of the puzzle.

It looks like JY has made many mistakes along the way, IMHO. The first being the brutality of the crime. After watching so many forensic shows and true crime programs, it seems that the more brutal a crime is, the more determined the investigators become to solve the crime.

From Barney's description of Michelle after she was brutally strangled, beaten, and left dead on the floor in her own bedroom while her two yo daughter wandered around the house spreading the blood drained from her own mother, I would venture to say there's more than one of these seasoned detectives that will go many a sleepless nights until they can prove who did this. These officers will prove who killed this sweet woman, mother, and her unborn son. Make no mistake about that.

Let me just go ahead and put a disclaimer on this one before I get started. I have had computer problems all day and turned out to be something really stupid which just adds to my delightful mood.

I am just about fed up with hit and run posters claiming to be great friends with JY. Maybe they are, I don't particularly care either way. No offense intended to any "insiders" but there is absolutely no inside information to be had in this case other than the relationship between JY and MM. And to be honest with you, I think it is completely irrelevant. Gojo knows that MM is pregnant, so what? He's not the only one, just the only one with so little class to post it on the internet for the world to read.

What good is their information? You have to consider the source. If they are such great friends with JY, do they really expect him to come out and admit that he just brutally murdered his wife. Well no, he would be lying his tail off to protect himself from being "bubba's bit^&". There would be little truth to the claims they are making. For the life of me I can't figure out why all the cryptic messages. Do I really give a sh*t about comparing this case to "silence of the lambs". Well, no, not really. This is not a game nor a riddle, a beautiful young mother is DEAD. It is obvious to me that these so called "friends" have zero respect for Michelle and her unborn son.

It goes either way, seems THEY have it figured out and are quick to lay blame on everyone but Jason. Well by all means, if Jason or any of his "friends" have figured out who did it, I would suggest that they march their a$$es down to the wake county sheriff's office and save those guys some time. We might be able to save the taxpayers some money.

This kind of reminds me of MG's strategy during the SP pretrial phase. Throwing out all of these balloons of 'somebody else did it,' ie redherrings, that it became a ridiculous site to those looking in.

The Karma ended up being, MG looked like a fool and someone looking for a scapegoat, as it always came back to SP,......... just like the coincidence of SP's alibi vs where his dead wife and unborn son washed ashore.

I do wish to make a few comments about the search warrant returned published today by the Raleigh media outlets, just a brief summary for those who may not be able to open the pdf files.

First - it is obvious that LE is very diligently working this case. The warrant is dated 2/8/07 with an issue time of 537 AM. These folks are early risers. The warrant is requesting the ability to open and review the data contained on 7 computer CDs that were removed from the Birchleaf home under the 11/3/06 warrant.

Under the probable cause section it is noted that the murder investigation team is engaged in an ongoing porcess of attempting to reconstruct events leading up to the murder, the time period of the murder itself, and the events in the after math. It is noted that WCS Investigators have attempted to interview Jason Young, he has been uncooperative in the murder investigation of his own wife other than responding to service of an NTO and the briefest conversation where he refered LE to his attorney. It further states that LE has been forced to investigate the murder around his lack of cooperation and without Jason Youngs cooperation.


The investigator indicates that he had previously interviewed two witnesses.

Witness A - who described how "Michelle was very very p*ssed off" about a trip Jason made to California in 2006.

Witness B- described how Michelle was stressing over money and things Jason would go out and do. This witness also gave some details about the trip to California in 2006.

Witness B is the younger of the two witnesses the investigator interviewed on 29 November 2006. The investigator was able to conclude that the two witnesses seperately described their knowledge about the same event.

The investigator goes on to indicate that "I know from my review of other photos and images located in this inquiry that they have materially helped to reconstruct traces of the history of the relationship between Jason and Michelle Young. I also know from review of other witness and case information of some importance of the events around October-November 2003 time frame when the couple got married".

I shall leave it to you to interpret what, if anything , this means to you. Hope this helps some of you whose computers lock up on those silly PDFs.

Maybe it's his own files from his computer instead and just labeled that way? I wouldn't think it'd be possible for someone like him (since he's not a computer expert) to be able to make a copy of the entire program, and that Microsoft would have it so it couldn't be copied that easily.

Personally, I seriously hope Meredith is being very careful, watching her back, talking only to family members, and has purchased an alarm system and keeps a loaded gun in her house. After JTFs bull do and clear mental instability, it is clear that Meredith is despised by some, most likely for what she knows about JY. Now we have another posting, probably with JTF sitting along side that is probably going to start on MM.

If this is the kind of people JY is surrounded by, it tells me this lawyer will throw everything up to attempt to discredit both of these ladies and as we know, the rumored embezzlement, I have no doubt will be brought in. There are no known tapes with the perp's voice stating anything - which was why Geragos couldn't really do much with Ms. Frey. If JY is arrested and brought to trial, both of these ladies need to eat lots of Cherrios IMO.

Lordy - I only work 20 hours a week but it seems on days that I do work there is big news!!!! Now I'm wondering if I should take on more hours to push this case along faster!lol

Anyways, just want to start here. RC I think the defense would have a real hard time getting this embezzlement thing in. There were no charges afterall. Sounds like there was some sort of an investigation and it turns out it was an honest mistake of some sort. At least that's what I got out of it. So that would take the air out of their balloon on re examination.

I read "deleted by the killer", but I think that was the posters take on it and don't think that's true. Why delete something when you can tuck it somewhere like your coat or pants.

I guess when the cops took these CD's they didn't know they were blank, or is that different than deleted? If they were just new blank ones they wouldn't take them I wouldn't think!

I don't know much about computers, but are disks like hard drives in that they can never be totally erased? I mean can fragments of info be taken off, even if someone attempted to delete them?
