I see little gojo has finally gotten around to JTF's mantra - the press is lying, the cops are lying, they are going to do something about it and by the way there were no bloody footprints in the house except for in Cassidy's bathroom so we all know where this is going right ? :silenced:

Am I alone here? :(

I added two bits of info here

http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1330951#post1330951

Cassidy's birthdate and approximate 'pregnancy week' that Michelle was on the date of her wedding to Jason.

Nope you are correct according to Nagel's rule. She was in the first few weeks of her second trimester, definitely not "showing" much with a first pregnancy. With the second forget it, your "bump" pops out like the timer on a thanksgiving day turkey! I wonder does anyone know whether the wedding was planned? Or was it as they say, a "shotgun" wedding? Was JayBird feeling the noose tightening with another bambini on the way?
As a side note, does anybody know why Cassie's face is now blanked out on the news websites? They used to show her face but I noticed in one of the links from this morning that they blurred her face out and that made me curious...

Now this is gossip, but I read at CTV today that they broke up right before they got married and suddenly the marriage was back on, out of consideration for the baby, little Cassidy.

Another interesting tidbit I gleaned while speed reading over there today is that the J-camp is on the warpath and suddenly emailing the media. I about cracked up :D And out of interest, not that it amounts to amything in the case, Gojo as much as intimated he has emailed Amanda. I was going to ask him if it was in the comment section, but refrained so I wouldn't have to :slap: myself.

To clear the air about my fanciful suppositions at what could have happened in Oct 2003 that LE has zoned in on, I was just funning when I suggested he made it on the table with the gal out of the cake or made a pass at one of her bridesmaids. Sometimes humor adds a balance when the subject is very serious IMHO.

Hi Mama cita, I saw that too, and someone over there suggested it is because she might testify at trial. I doubt that, but it is interesting. Keep her out of the limelight so no harm comes to her is all I can think of.

lol..sounds like little gojo has come into it's own...shades all over of JTF...I have it...Gojo is good one, whilst on meds....JTF is the bad one who is unmedicated! (not being ugly to anyone on meds...I take them meself so pls no slaps for that) and neither of them (gogo or jtf) had enough jelly beans as children so there...praise the meds and pass the the jelly beans....seriously, I am convinced these are JY's family members...it is too personal to be otherwise. They must be in agony and not wanting anyone to disturb their world of denial.

Somebody here has to know, Sami maybe? What happens to blood on a surface after using luminol? How about the casts or other methods used to get footprints from the scene of a crime? Many possibilities imo the dog could've licked them up. The time inbetween MF seeing them and for almost two weeks LE had the house as a crime scene if they were on a hardwood floor I'd think they'd be gone. This much I do know, JTF claimed their info came from a friend who was in the house after the murder and others have stated no friends in the house, no way. Guess it depends on who you want to believe until the evidence is revealed.

Strach,

If blood is clearly visible, I'm at a loss as to why investigators would use luminol to start with. The principal behind it is to find trace blood or determine if a scene has been cleaned up. Which of course if the scene was cleaned up by the killer - friends wouldn't see the foot prints would they ?

ETA - luminol is a clear liquid of itself made with a powdery compound made up of nitrogen, hydrogen, oxygen and carbon mixed with hydrogen peroxide. and usually only shows up under certain lighting conditions.

Oh my...poor Michelle that she had to put up with these people at some point!

I talk to eejits everyday on the phone but honestly...while the ones I deal w/make me laugh..these people make me sad...is absurd.

If y'all have any specific DNA questions you'd like to ask a DNA/Serologist, let me know. I can ask tomorrow at work. I've got a connection in one of the state crime labs that specializes in DNA and genetics. Don't think he'd mind answering a few questions. And although it's Texas, I know our state crime labs are months behind as far as backlog. Guess one question I could ask him is in what types of situations do they "bump up" one type of case over others? I don't know how that works, and wonder if/when they change priorities, etc.

BTW, y'all are great. I get my primary updates here and then venture over to CTV when I'm bored :silenced:

Hi DAWGIE :blowkiss: Always great to see you and hear what you have to say. Pretty astounding that can happen through electronic air waves. I'm still amazed at that.

One thing about serology and DNA testing is seperating out blood from two persons when it is together in one spot. We discussed that here and learned the soles of the feet are a likely place for this to happen. In this case where LE has stated in a link they feel the killer was possibly injured it might be interesting to learn if this is what they have had to do, and why it might be one reason the forensics are taking such a long time to return {other than just a huge backlog of cases}.

Luminol causing blood to deteriorate, I believe I did learn that on CSI Miami :D

Hello DD,

I would be interested in knowing what this person thinks of the YSTR DNA analysis and its usefulness with respect to criminal cases. How many markers can they match up in a mixture ? If he laughs it is because I'm a dufus and haven't asked this correctly. Thanks for the opportunity to ask !;)

Hi gal! Nice to "see" you, as well! As usual I still really enjoy reading your posts and thoughts.

Making sure I understand correctly, do you want me to ask how long it normally physically takes to process that type of testing (separating/identifying a combination of two people's blood vs. one person's blood) ...versus regular lab delays? Do I understand correctly?

Ooooh, that sounds good! How can that sound like coming from a dufus? Heck, I've never even heard of YSTR DNA! (Okay, what is it?) And yes, that's a good specific one I can ask him! I'm on it first thing tomorrow!

Here's the dufus part luv - I don't exactly understand it but in the Vitale case the lab was able to match 6 markers of the male DNA to Scott Dyleski from a very small sample. The YSTR is oriented toward the male segment of the population. If I understood correctly there are either 13 or 17 markers - hence my question of wondering what this person thinks of the viability of this analysis with respect to criminal aspects.

ETA - typically this is used to trace lineage of a person, I think.

Baa Haa Haa Haa I just had the very same thought. :D I said "We should ask Gafflin' Gojo about the bare foot impressions he gave, I mean JY gave when he was tested by LE!"

I don't give a hoot either. I think when someone concocts their own scenario that is not what a link of fact like a 911 call says was heard people say in a room at a given time, they should be made to give their source or delete it.

:banghead:

I think footprints will be a big thing when this comes to trial, and there many different kinds to be looked at =Cassy's, dog, JY's pre-murder, Merediths, Michelle's, barefoot prints and the killers. And between Cassy's little rumblings that we've heard and her ramblings around the house in all that time, probably going back and forth to check her mommy, leaving timy little footprints all over the house, she will be eyes to look through for those who care about the truth.

I can tell you where gojo got the alledged 10 am meeting time - it got it from gbmy's opening post of 2/10 - which of course according to gbmy makes it impossible for JY to have committed the crime. Have you ever noticed gbmy is no where around when gojo starts ? Have to say however I may be slanted as gbmy has been under my skin since day one. :p
