Hi gal! Nice to "see" you, as well! As usual I still really enjoy reading your posts and thoughts.

Making sure I understand correctly, do you want me to ask how long it normally physically takes to process that type of testing (separating/identifying a combination of two people's blood vs. one person's blood) ...versus regular lab delays? Do I understand correctly?

Yes that is the question, and if you don't mind, I'd like to know if spraying luminol on blood will make the blood either dissolve or break down, making prints disappear after a certain amount of time.

ETA: I've seen on TV crime shows that they can't re-luminate an area over again, so they have to do it right the first time.

Here's the dufus part luv - I don't exactly understand it but in the Vitale case the lab was able to match 6 markers of the male DNA to Scott Dyleski from a very small sample. The YSTR is oriented toward the male segment of the population. If I understood correctly there are either 13 or 17 markers - hence my question of wondering what this person thinks of the viability of this analysis with respect to criminal aspects.

ETA - typically this is used to trace lineage of a person, I think.

Okay, RC, got it! Actually just sent my email to him. I know he's gonna think I've lost it, haha. I'm interested to see what he says in response.

I can tell you where gojo got the alledged 10 am meeting time - it got it from gbmy's opening post of 2/10 - which of course according to gbmy makes it impossible for JY to have committed the crime. Have you ever noticed gbmy is no where around when gojo starts ? Have to say however I may be slanted as gbmy has been under my skin since day one. :p

Ahhh-men...sir RC! An innocuous (whew...you know what I mean...getting in bed...don't make me spell it correctly, 'cause that looks wrong to me) version of the others but clear from day 1!

Nope miss scandi...from what I gather, they can re-lum but they can't then go back and take samples from lumd. evidence...the lum. process will always show evidence of blood but they can't gather info. further as the lum. process destroys other evidence.

Capice?

Solve the puzzle.......OR ELSE!!!!!!!!!!

The funny part is that several have posted that JY tucked her back in bed. Seems that someone doesn't want to hear the answer unless it has someone else's name in it other than JY. What a :loser: .

On a serious note, I have no reason to beleive that anyone has been in that house other than JY's family. Our perceptions seem to be skewed when we are too close to the situation. And btw, the jelly beans were Sheriff Harrison's on the coffee table. Had to do something while watching his guys frame JY (that one was for you gojo).

Will do, just for you! :blowkiss:

I have only limited personal experience and knowledge with luminol, but yes, it's my understanding that the luminol degrades the sample, so the scientist or criminologist always wants to use the smallest sample possible. I did another crime lab tour in mid-December (I was "escorting" visitors from a HP office when the criminologists were talking), and we did get to wear the lovely orange filter goggles, etc. Very interesting to look through the filter and see the difference of urine, sweat and semen stains. I need to go take that tour again, LOL. (I'd have more specific questions to ask, now ;) )

Well......I ran out of theories that would satisfy a sick puppy who is wanting everyone to think "ohhh, Meredith washed Cassie off".

When I first saw gbmy, I thought "Good Bye Michelle Young", lol.

You know what killed me about gbmy? The timeline he posted for info included as part of the statement, talked to michelle at ll and slept in the room all night. Wanted to know if this scenario was correct, would we agree that JY did not do it. Well, sort of difficult for him to pull it off if he slept in the room all night :slap: .

Ridiculous, isn't it Pack Fan.

BTW, I did read somewhere that Meredith absolutely loves jelly beans and so this was a big dig to implicate her in some way. I just hate it when someone cogitates how to deceive before writing something like that.

Sorry if that was already posted here. I've read wayyyyy too many posts as of late, and have a permanent disability in my right shoulder from posting. ;)

I agree, a name other than JY will make you relevant - he likes Jaysfan.

On a serious note, I have no reason to beleive that anyone has been in that house other than JY's family. Our perceptions seem to be skewed when we are too close to the situation.

I cannot imagine anyone other than family going in the house and they certainly were not in there before LE released it. The problem with this line of thought is that the scene is dramatically altered once testing is done, some by the process, some by design - LE leaves few clues.

Maybe he likes the Lion King DVD as well - I enjoyed it myself.

Seriously, if these people are JYs relatives, I feel very sorry for them. I can understand not wanting to believe him capable but to go to this level is well, beyond words.

Yeah my websleuth patch fell of a little while ago and had to get my "fix".

I am not opposed to anyone suggesting that MF could have committed the crime or anyone else for that matter. If it is as obvious to LE as it is to this small group of posters, I would feel certain that we would have seen warrants by now for searches of her house, car, background information, etc... The warrant for the computer disks was just served a few days ago.

Although the car was searched I'm sure, she has cooperated fully and felt no need to hire an attorney. If the scene was obviously so different than the way she described it in the 911 call, LE would be all over her as well. Completely ridiculous as far as I'm concearned.

What are the possibilities of outstanding warrants that we have not seen? They have to be served in 48 hours but do they have to be returned in a certain amount of time or can they hold on to them so they will not be released to the public (rather than having them sealed).

If y'all have any specific DNA questions you'd like to ask a DNA/Serologist, let me know. I can ask tomorrow at work. I've got a connection in one of the state crime labs that specializes in DNA and genetics. Don't think he'd mind answering a few questions. And although it's Texas, I know our state crime labs are months behind as far as backlog. Guess one question I could ask him is in what types of situations do they "bump up" one type of case over others? I don't know how that works, and wonder if/when they change priorities, etc.

BTW, y'all are great. I get my primary updates here and then venture over to CTV when I'm bored :silenced:

Hi Dep! :blowkiss: Sleeping well these days? :D Honest to God - I still think of you!hehe

No questions from me - wouldn't know what to ask! lol

I'm the same as you with CTV. I was figuring last nite, that I might put as many people as I can on ignore, (keep the good ones of course) - that way, it'll save me a headache when I have to go through 20-30 pages!

Nice to see you here!!

No no no - no set up - this is for real honest ! I just don't know if I have explained it well enough to you to get the question correct. I'm sure he will see where I am going with it - he may just laugh because I'm not well versed.

No way would I set you up !

JILLY :woohoo:

LMAO re sleeping, how totally funny! Those chats about our sleeping positions/ one foot out of covers, etc. - oh my, that was hysterical. Yep, I'm sleeping well with one foot still hanging out :blushing:

Hope you're doing well? And hey, Happy 2007 to you! Just a wee bit belated, ya know. Well, Happy Valentine's Day, a few hours early!

CTV - I've been registered for years, and have never posted once. Can't bear the thought. Just enjoy the entertainment :banghead:
