Quote from raisincharlie: "...he was worried about Cassidy having socks on"

Okay, I'll bite. What pray tell was the issue with socks? I'm assuming Cassidy was not wearing socks as she was likely still in her pj's from the night before. Also, even in her distressed state, Meredith mentions Cassidy's footprints in the blood on the 911 call so they must have been easily discernible, which they would not have been had she been wearing socks - at least not as obvious I wouldn't think.

No need to go there if you think it irrelevant, I just don't have the time or energy to go "over there" to check it out.

Supposedly Cassidy's socks, bloody socks, were still laying in the bathroom after LE released the house. The claim is someone took Cassidy into the bathroom to clean her up, they carried her as Cassidy's prints were not seen in the hall, just where Michelle was and in the bathroom. The implication they are trying to make is that someone other than JY of course did this. I know, I know...just the messenger :)

Ahhh, okay. I hadn't read that about socks in the bathroom but then I haven't read all the threads. I did read up on all the news articles I could find though and didn't see anything about socks, of course I could have missed it.

That implication is a huge leap...thanx messenger.

Please keep in context who this poster is. I'm not sure how much, if anything of what he says is believable as he is trying to say JY could not have done this and that someone was in the home with Cassidy from the time she got up until the time Meredith called 911. Just don't know...

I would be quite surprised if after 13 days, the bloody socks were still in the house, not seized as evidence. But hey, what do I know :silenced:

Here I was looking thru the internet, looking to see if there was any progress on Michelle's case, and I come across this article. Now before you read it, I'll tell you it's about how the crime statistics of violence against initimate partners has decreased. IMHO, these people are dillusional. I can name off, probably 100 cases that I'm aware of where the wife has disappeared or been murdered, MANY suspect the SO, and the case is unsolved and nobody gives a darn.

IMHO, it's just that the perps are getting smarter in covering their tracks! Let's hope that Michelle's case doesn't end up in the cold case files!

WASHINGTON - Criminal violence against intimate partners fell by nearly two-thirds in recent years and has reached a record low, according to preliminary government figures.
The declines were greatest for nonfatal attacks, which fell by about 65 percent from 1993 to 2005, according to the federal Bureau of Justice Statistics. Homicides among intimate partners dropped by roughly a third.

The figures are based on the annual National Crime Victimization Survey, which counts criminal abuse against spouses, girlfriends, boyfriends and former spouses, whether or not it has been reported to police. The information, collected in thousands of confidential interviews, is the most widely used instrument for charting U.S. crime trends

An appropriate post given that its International Women's Day.

And for the record, I'll bet you're right. It would be interesting to know the number of cold cases. This one gets icier by the day.

I have more hope for this case than I do the Janet Araboa case. I think the fact that LE is silent is a good thing. I think that if they were at their wit's end, they may be putting more info out into the public forum or, at least, that's what I hope.

This case may take a while. However, I believe LE is just trying to put all of the pieces together. We don't know if they have gone to the prosecutor with the case. Perhaps, the prosecutor is telling them to get more evidence or perhaps they are just building the case as tight as they can before an arrest.
