Welcome! I hate to think that this is yet another case of the husband killing his pregnant wife, but I'm not finding any other suspects either, with the exception of the neighbor ~ who we haven't heard much more about.

I'm not nearly as up on this case as I was on the Scott Peterson case. Heck, my boss and I drove 100 mph to get to the Modesto PD for the big press release. We thought they had found Laci but it was the night Amber came out of the closet. We stood right in front of her when she told of her fling with Scott for the first time. Wonder why MM has not told her story of affair with JY. Has there been anything interesting since finding out about MM? I have been sick for the past 2 weeks so have not felt up following close.:sick:

Hope you are better now. After it was found out about MM, there hasn't been much else said although the local media did release some of the search warrants that have been returned. Briefly the returned warrants identify papers and some items LE removed from the home, information requesting forensic analysis of Jy's computer and MM's computer, information about JY's cell phone and another phone found in the SUV. You can find this information in the search warrant thread. Other than that, this case has been incredibly quiet. No new news for a while.

As for MM not saying anything - heck no one in this case is saying anything at all really. There have been zero 15 minute famers to date. Very odd but that is how it is going. So in two weeks you really have not missed anything. Do hope you are better.

I am getting weird vibes that LE has made a mistake and are backtracking somewhat and that is why it is so quiet. They have a victim, they have DNA, they have a timeline, they have a provocative 911 tape, they have a material witness (MM) for motive, they have a lawyered up POI and yet, no new news. So, did someone step on it or are they being particulary meticulous?

North Carolina LE hasn't been stand up in some recent cases and I am only pointing this out as a possible reason for inactivity not as a written in stone doctrine.

Just shufflling around thoughts as to why...especially since I think they have so much to work with.

But ~ what about this teenage neighbor who was initially described as "strange"? Anything more about him to exclude him? This just sounds so much like the Dyleski case regarding the manner in which Michelle was murdered.

I think we are just impatient. Not that long ago the Sheriff reported that the State Crime lab is backed up and that is affecting the pace of how this case is moving. A few days ago I posted a link about a woman who was murdered in October (6th) - I believe it was 10 December before the autopsy in that case was finalized. MY's autopsy report has not been completed and based on the two month average for Wake Co - it won't be finalized until after the first of the new year IMO.

It may be that this Sheriff and the ADA over this case have made up their minds that they will move when they believe that have adequate evidence to take the case to trial and win, and not before. If they are waiting on lab results and an autopsy - seems like good enough reasons to me to wait. JMO.

No one that we have heard of, could be someone else, maybe not. All we do know is the search warrants seem to indicate JY has not been cleared as yet. MM's computer hard drive has been taken but no mention of anything else taken under warrant for her and she was not listed in any warrant as being uncooperative. So, don't know if there is or isn't anyone else on the radar screen. Bad deal when we have zero answers huh ? Oh well...waiting. :waitasec:

I would be totally suprised if anyone other than Jason was on the horizen right now. An aberrant teen is a possibilty but unlikely IMO.
