That tickled my funny bone too, thinking he might be arrested before Christmas. LOLOLOL But I bet the RPD have now changed their diet of donuts for Christmas cookies and are down to bare bones till after the new year.

I know one thing though. The prosecutor is a very passionate woman with a most admirable track record in criminal cases. I bet her brain is on this case continually in some respect, and when an arrest does take place she will be a champion for justice with regard to Michelle's vicious murder and her family, including little Cassidy. It will be a great prosecution to watch and study!

Scandi
I would be surprised if the prosecutor doesn't spend her Christmas holidays pouring over everything she can to try to get enough to make an arrest in this case.

Wouldn't the probable cause on the SUV be similar to that of Scott Peterson's truck? In this case, perhaps an alibi can't be confirmed which definitely establishes that JY was not able to commit the murder? (Just thinking....)
I find that probable cause to be interesting because - the SUV was taken the second it got back to Raleigh which was the same day MY's body was found - I doubt LE would have been able to establish his whereabouts that quickly - I wish but it is doubtful. JMO

Yes, you're right, it was immediately after he got home. That, combined with their (LE) statements from the get go that this wasn't random make me think they had suspicions about him from the start. Wonder if maybe Meredith suggested something to LE?

I would think MF was questioned very shortly after LE arrived. No idea what would have been said but can guess about what was asked. Her answers may have indicated something - maybe not but something sure sparked an interest very quickly. I wouldn't rule out the baby relaying something either to MF before or after LE arrived at this point. JMO

ETA - then there is also the mysterious fax/printout, who knows what it really was?

I do believe that little Cassidy's words were taken to heart by Sheriff Harrison and the investigators which might be why we can not get a copy of the frinal transcript of that enhanced 911 call.

And just taking from a little rumor that something was done out of the ordinary to Michelle's body leads me to believe it also was a big red flag to LE this was not a random crime.

They were waiting to grab that car when it drove into the driveway, and think it could be because of these two points above.

Yes, the more I think about it, it seems that little Cassidy may have said something or answered a question with the word "daddy". Could also be the doors were found locked, coupled with the "no signs of forced entry". The phone call to Meredith is suspicious enough that it was a ruse to get her over to the house, in my opinion!

Other than a ruse to get Meredith over to the house, what could have been so important? And who is to say that Michelle wouldn't have seen it anyway, before Meredith got there ~ if indeed it were "legitimate". What's even more stange, is that it was reported to be an illustration of a handbag that Michelle wanted for Christmas. Doesn't that sound like the wallet Scott got Laci?

If you think about it - it makes sense given the following:

No forced entry - who can get in and out of the house without breaking in, first suspect list.

Doors locked when MF arrived: would a stranger lock the doors behind them after murdering someone. If the murderer locked the doors behind them - why ? Maybe to keep a baby inside - second suspect list.

Recover fax/printout: if MF still had the voicemail from JY to pick up the fax/printout and it was nothing major - suspect list narrowed as MF was called over at request - who called her to intervene?

No burglary: whoever came in wasn't interested in items on first floor as My's purse was in kitchen, no signs of burglary reported. third suspect list

starting to wonder how many times one name continues to pop up on the different lists.....

Charlie, I did read in the transcript from NG that a TH stated the door was open. NG cut him off quickly as maybe she felt he was giving out too much info at that point, but I've always wondered if that was when Meredith arrived or when the police arrived.

You're right. Too many circumstantial pieces all fitting together to one conclusion.

Scandi,

Being very honest - I have found that most of the TH's are never properly prepared on these talk shows and are primarily full of bs with the exception of Dr. Baden who lets it be known when he is speculating. I'm not at all sure how a TH would know if the door was open or not.

As for Ms. Grace - she was still carrying on about SD taking a shower even after the trial was over - I don't find Ms. Grace exactly credible since she perpetuated that rumor even after it was proven to not be so. I have come to believe she spawns more rumor than she ever resolves. JMO

Open or unlocked? I'm thinking if the "perp" had left it either open or unlocked that Cassidy could've walked out of the house. The other thing regarding the "no sign of forced entry" pointing toward JY is that if Michelle had gone downstairs to answer the door, the perp would've attacked her right inside the front door, not chased her back upstairs to the bedroom. It appears to me that she was in bed when the attack began.

As for Cassidy saying "daddy" - that doesn't sound too far fetched to me. The two people closest to her in the world are her mommy and daddy - if mommy isn't around or something happened to mommy she is going to cry for her daddy......

There are other things that point me more towards "daddy."

Poco, did you get to hear the 911 tape (all 5 minutes)? I think the only time Cassidy mentions daddy is when Meredith asks her if someone came over. My memory is shot, so I don't recall the exact question....

Cassidy wasn't crying and wasn't screaming for daddy on that tape. :( She wanted a washcloth to presumably (IMO) clean up her mommy because she didn't realize she was dead and probably thought that would help her mommy feel better.

I can think of the perfect Christmas present from LE! Please give me one murderer all wrapped up in paper imprinted with the words "Sweet Justice".

I'm going crazy with no news!!!

I think she may have said "daddy" when asked if she saw anyone, or who was there, etc., however LE can't use the words of a two year old to apprehend a suspect. I do recall that it sounded as if she said "daddy" during the 911 call.

No news today  Friday before Christmas I was so hoping there would be some action in the case. What with the Duke news today, that probably queered it.

You guys just haven't listened to the tape where the voices had been clarified of background noise, etc. I heard Cassidy clearly ask for a washcloth and heard her say Daddy did it as plain as the nose on my face. I think Meredith asked her 'Was anybody here'. It was a trip to hear the things she said.

And now that tape is not floating around anymore - probably because it will be used at trial when they finally nail the b()%rd who committed this horendous murder. Scandi

Scandi - has CC showed in your area yet ? Supposedly ED from AMW is on and will be commenting on the case - too late for me - I've missed it already.
