I'm also wondering if any evidence was found in the vehicle, since no arrest has been made? Yes, hopefully there will be something published regarding the return on the warrant.raisincharlie said:The SUV is returned - surely there should be a returned warrant for said vehicle by now - wonder if WRAL will publish it, if it has been sealed, or what the status of the warrant is. hmmmmm...

http://www.wral.com/news/local/story/1127614/
"Authorities found what appears to be two spots of what appears to be blood in a vehicle belonging to the husband of a woman found dead in her Wake County home two months ago.
The search of a Ford Explorer driven by Jason Young revealed one drop on the back seat and another on the rear exterior driver's side door., according to a search warrant released Friday."
Am looking for the search warrant....link attached
Apparently the SUV was driven to Merediths house and was detained at that location. "Major RL Johnson observed what appeared to be a drop of blood on the rear driver's side seat of the vehicle. which is light colored, Major Johnson also observed what appeared to be a dark color spot consistent with a blood droplet on the exterior drivers side rear door."panthera said:I'm also wondering if any evidence was found in the vehicle, since no arrest has been made? (Sorry ~ just saw your update, charlie!)

I'm wondering with his SUV if it's possible they (LE) put a tracking device on it maybe? Not sure if that'd be legal or not; do you know?
Thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure, but would suspect that would be under a sealed warrant anyway. You made a good point about the attorney retrieving the SUV also ~ checking for such a device. I have a feeling these blood spots are going to turn out to be from Jason himself, in the line of Simpson and Peterson both "cutting their fingers".oceanblueeyes said:Well Hi there Panthera, great to see you too!
They certainly can legally put a GPS tracking device on a suspects vehicle but imo JYs lawyer is too crafty and savvy to fall for it. I think that is why his lawyer picked the vehicle up I am sure he had his experts check the vehicle out for "bugs".

I think that is a logical explanation - or a LE official was at Meredith's house seems possible - they would have had the authority to immediately detain the vehicle until other LE arrived.Scout said:Reading the SUV warrant, I wonder if Meredith tipped off LE that Jason was at her house to pick up Cassidy.
Depending if it's a 6 cyl/8 cyl, 2WD or 4WD ~ but an average could range between 15 city/20 hwy with a 21.0 gal. fuel tank.raisincharlie said:Can you find out for us the gas tank size of a 2004 Ford Explorer and EPA estimated mileage ? Thanks in advance.
Theoretically then 420 miles per tank for a 6 cyclinder 2wd then ? You might want to look at the photos of the SUV - IMO it is a 2wd - not enough clearance to be 4wd - take a look - let me know what you think ?panthera said:Depending if it's a 6 cyl/8 cyl, 2WD or 4WD ~ but an average could range between 15 city/20 hwy with a 21.0 gal. fuel tank.

It's hard to tell by the photo, charlie, but I believe you can check with the VIN# (on the search warrant). Ive driven both the 2WD and 4WD for that vehicle, and didn't really have much difference on the exterior appearance, FWIW.raisincharlie said:Theoretically then 420 miles per tank for a 6 cyclinder 2wd then ? I don't remember any mention of cuts on his hands, but I'd be sure that LE would be checking him out also. My remark was more along sarcasm since it "always seems" that these DH get their hands cut while murdering their wives.oceanblueeyes said:From the way it is described it does seem if these spots are blood they most likely came from the hand or finger bleeding. Didn't LE talk with Jason on 11-3 for about 15 minutes? I bet they were sizing him up looking at his hands, face etc. closely.
Did any of the "insiders" ever mention that he had any cuts when they saw him at the funeral? TIA

And as usual I agree with you 100%. :furious:oceanblueeyes said:LOL! I see. Sorry.
Yes and I am glad all but OJ though as he got away with double murder. The others are right where they should be.
Scott Dyleski bled too when he beat PV to death. I am glad they get cut........I wish they had died instead of the victims.![]()
